I think that just means that not many people play competitively on Alliance as compared to Horde. It doesnât say that Alliance itself is non-existent.
streamers or âcontent creatorsâ donât care about this.
they care about still being able to get their paychecks at the end of the month and still being able to be a CE player/guild.
the unbalance is worse than ever, devâs are silent for years now.
There was a time alliance was going strong, when they had the best PvE racials in the game. Now that those racials donât matter, the horde has the best because 1% more dps is better. Even tho it is literally nothing.
The amount of blatant favoritism they would have to give to the alliance just to balance the scales would have a large majority of players quitting is my guess. Although Iâve noticed alliance show a little more small guys mentality and getting stuff done as a group but you can find it on both sides. The downside is when there are more horde players there are more jerks to run into as well.
Only the alliance against the evils of that terrible hedgehog truly matter.
I love threads like this. Anyone who cares about top guilds and the like are already in one of them.
Alliance isnt dead at all. Hardcore pushers are always who has the better racials, and right now that happens to be Horde.
Nothing new here.
(Contradiction): I do not believe they have been silent, so much as they do not see it as significant of a problem compared to the playerbase.
(Commentary): Seems to be a problem with the Developers in general, not just for faction balance.
itâs not that bad dude you can push +25 on alliance without too many problems
if you want more groups, or going beyond +25 youâll probably have to reroll horde or get a serious group.
If you went horde on proudmoore you wonât get a competitive guild, but you can get invited to m+
I feel like one of the main draws I have towards the Alliance is that itâs more casual friendly. Not saying thatâs the ground truth, but I like that thereâs a choice between going for a more relaxed faction vs going for a more competitive faction (even though thereâs competitive Alliance and casual Horde players as well).
Idk, not everything needs to be equal in my opinion.
A lot of them have in the past. Asmongold has spoken about it along with preach and bellular, nearly every major wow streamer/video creator has at one point or another commented on the faction imbalance. Horde has pretty much always dominated pve though, even back in vanilla. The only reason a ton of people also played alliance was the op pvp racials the alliance had with the now-nerfed human racial. Once the human racial got nerfed alliance was no longer the best pvp faction so everyone started migrating horde basically. Another big factor was the mythic Kilâjaedan fight, where alliance guilds were basically forced to faction change due to needing more mobility from the goblin rocket jump racial. And all those guilds stayed horde because there was no incentive to go back to alliance, and itâs spiraled out of control since with more and more people going horde because thatâs where all the raiders are now.
(Correction): The Alliance was noted to have a higher population and more PvE participation during vanilla. Part of this was the ease of completing the Onyxia attunement quest chain.
(Clarification): Humans did not get, âEvery Man For Himself,â until Wrath of the Lich King.
(Contradiction): Goblins were not playable until Cataclysm, while the Sunwell raid was in Burning Crusade.
The kilâjaedan fight in legion.
(Commentary): Ah, now that makes more sense. Thank you for clarifying.
we get a 30% bonus for going into warmode and the horde get 10% how are you surprised by this lmfao
Itâs a player created problem. GET OVER IT.
It was a full CC break and only shared a 30s CD with PvP trinkets for the longest time though; thatâs what made it strong.
Yeah I mean players choosing to gravitate to the clear poor tuning of one factionâs racials might have been a mistake then, yes, but once the snowball got rolling itâs not on the players to fix it. Blizzard could have offered faction change incentives (or even free faction moves like they used to for server transfers) but they refuse to because then it cuts into their microtransaction revenue.
Except that, if you like an Alliance race, and you want to raid hardcore, you have to make a choice. Something about that to me feels off. If theyâd adverted the Alliance was the less serious group, Iâd be OK with it. But they donât.
Its still very easy to get mythic + groups, IE for Pvp and mythic, and even raids are all ongoing.
So Iâm not sure what your so worried about.
If I can get into +4s with my garbage dps warlock, so can you lol.
Yeah this is my problem.
I have zandalari troll unlocked but I BY FAR prefer my worgen for druid.
Zandalari troll looks idk creepy to me. It really is unnerving.
