It’s just a marketing gimmick. The launch date is 8/22. Games are just more expensive to make so costs more. Inflation affected everyone. This is their way of recouping. But the game effectively launches on 8/22 and then goes on sale a few days later. Hopefully next time they can stop putting in all these artificial limitations during the grace period of launch date and sale date.

My concern for those affected by inflation doesn’t exactly extend to multibillion dollar companies.

That’s what I thought about doing. But it’s still sloppy seconds with other people that have gone ahead. Still takes something away for me.

Which you can call a me problem if you want but I doubt it’s one sole individual who feels that way.

I just think of us as being the mid-late beta testing phase.

I think they’re doing it for multiple reasons. One money of course, but number two is that by splitting the player base or fracturing the player base as it’s probably not a 50/50 split… they’re reducing the load on the new zones… remember the first day of pre patch? Lag city right… well hopefully by having essentially two “start” dates they will avoid the most egregious system issues we typically encounter.

Sounds like a you issue. They clearly explain what you get with each version. You didnt read it properly.

If you are so unhappy just refund or get in contact with Blizz, dont drama post about it.

We really didn’t need another thread on this.

omg…so your game experience is ruined or significantly changed because other ppl choose to pay for early access? No, it wasn’t. Nobody is taking anything away from you. You and everyone else get the same experience, the only difference is that some get the experience first. Did you HAVE to lose your virginity the EXACT same moment as your friends/classmates? If not, did it change YOUR first sexual experience? NO, it did not. The whole problem is ppl worrying about what others have/dont have. IF you have EA and choose not to use it, fine. That is YOUR choice, don’t be salty about it. It is definitely a YOU problem. And btw, you were not tricked/fooled/coerced to pay for the early access, nor was the EA hidden or not disclosed, in fact it (EA)was largely advertised to come with the epic edition. YOU not reading is not blizzards fault.

I fondly remember people waiting for midnight release to purchase WotLK box with my bro. Good times.

so you were gonna get it anyways.

oh boy here we go.

so let me get this straight. you went HOW MANY MONTHS AND NEVER BOTHERED TO CHECK WHAT CAME WITH IT DESPITE ALL THE ADVERTISING ALL THE POP UPS ON LAUNCHER AND EVERYTHING ELSE?

no you didnt.

this was made very clear at least since may. are you seriously saying you a. didnt look at the launcher once.? b. didnt read the description? c. watched youtube about it BUT NEVER UNTIL JUST LAST WEEK ENCOUNTERED A SINGLE MENTION OF IT?
it was even announced BEFOREHAND.

okay i think at this point your just looking for a problem.

Well you seemed to have a lot to say about something I wasn’t salty about. I simply disagreed with a decision the company of the game I play made. That’s it.

No need to try and turn it into something it isn’t.

it’s their business they can do whatever and I think that splitting people to avoid huge lag is kinda good idea, and no one interested on what you think about their marketing strategy,

It’s not a matter of charity to a multi-billion dollar company. This is how much things cost. For a business plan to work it must be profitable. So this is what they need to do to align with that. They didn’t need to do it before inflation. Inflation makes everything cost more. Payroll costs more.

Thanks for sharing.

I don’t know when these announcements were made but I only came back to WoW a few weeks ago or so. There’s no need to caps.

Really? Because I missed a few announcements regarding early access (which is on me btw) and in stating already you can call this a me problem you proceed in quoting from my original post to look for a problem and claim I’m looking for a problem.

no where in your op post did you mention this. so im leaving it there.

Do I have to disclose when I came back to the game in my post, or can I discuss a disagreement about a decision Blizzard made?
