It’s not good either, you can make and get crafted gear that will get you to 233 (except weapons, that’s what LFR is for).

Mythics and Timewalking, when it’s up.
Pretty sure you can get crafted gear at 262 and Legendaries (of which you get two, once you do the questline) go up to 291.
Also LFR, correct.

This sounds to me like you’re looking at the journal rewards for the non-fated version of Castle Nathria.
The fated version of Castle Nathria on LFR I think gives 260’s gear.

229 can be easy, if you have anima or are an alt.
Full 226 gear from vendor for anima (dont waste anima getting multiple of the same piece. Bedsides rings, trinkets & weapons, none have alternate pieces)
Plus 1-2 legendaries. Plus 1 262 piece of crafted loot. And 1 233 available from the vendor in ZM right away for 1 slot.

Ah yes I forgot that Fated Raids were far more up there. So 250 is a relatively decent ilvl to get to then? How long exactly is this season going on for?
229 doesn’t even get you into LFR. You need to be at least 240 for LFR and around 265 for normal raid. There are many ways to improve this. Either spam M 0 -2 or spam BG and EPIC BG to earn honor for PVP gear at ilevel 268. Even heroic dungeons will improve your gear to 245.

That isn’t fated raiding, that’s just pugging in general. Unfortunately the to pug is to face off against a world of selfish and higher ranked, ilvl etc players.
No one creating a group, looks at bare minimum, they look at ilvl and take the highest one lol for the most part.
Pugging has been shown, time and time again, it is a horrible way to enjoy this game.

No worries . I was 230 when the season started and improved to 265 in one week just from spamming epic battlegrounds. Also got tons of cosmic flux(10,000) which I used to unlock 278 level for all my conduits. This can be gotten from your covenants quartermaster.

do pvp raiding sucks.

My alt hunter went from boost to 251 in a couple days. Can be very quick. Especially running lfr where 265 stuff drops. Also helps if you can funnel relics for 246 gear/tier
