deleted posts

So I posted about pvp, wondering when it would get fixed. Thread got deleted to I just went to Twitter for that.

Is it super common for posts to get deleted on here about how bad pvp is?
Yes, it's bad publicity.
Bad publicity is bad publicity.
It's got nothing to do with bad publicity. Might have been deleted for spam (if there are multiple similar threads up at the same time); the thread might have gotten out of control thanks to this poster or that; and so on.
Plus, deleting threads because they constitute "bad publicity" would make for...bad publicity, so it doesn't make sense to do that.
But once they're deleted there's no proof... No more bad publicity.

Except for that one person that screen capped it before it got deleted...

No, they do not delete threads due to "bad publicity", they delete threads because of forum rule violations. Heaven knows there probably is not a thread in existence that does not violate the rules in some way at some point.

Take this thread for instance, it is discussing disciplinary action, a violation of the forum Code of Conduct, and as such can be deleted and get the OP a forum vacation.

It wasn't deleted. They just "lost" it and made up a conspiracy.

Is what I was responding to. My original post was for this:

I've seen many threads disappear even when no forum rules were broken. Naturally the "where did my post go" thread gets the axe as well (This is against the rules if I recall correctly).
Did you check the PvP forum? Perhaps it was simply moved.

EDIT: Also did you have any replies yet? Sometimes the forum eats posts. But if you are getting a 404 that's a delete.
You probably violated the Code of Conduct.

Lots of negative posts get left up. But there are rules about how you present your criticism. To avoid your posts disappearing in the future, you should probably familiarize yourself with them.

That is so not true. I have seen them delete threads with the excuse that it was spam, and there was one other thread on the front page about it. They do indeed start deleting topics that are turning into forest fires.

And deleting a thread isn't really disciplinary action.

They will occasionally delete all or most of the threads but one to hopefully funnel all the people into the one blessed thread.

Spam is against the forum rules, so yes, it is a violation. You are free to have your opinion on whether it actually was spam or not, of course, but Blizzard gets to decide.

Do not post about locked or deleted threads.

Posts that are moderated have a reason behind the moderation. It's up to you to read the forum Code of Conduct and these guidelines to determine what you did wrong, learn from your mistake, and attempt to post again without breaking any rules.

Blizzard says otherwise.
Depends on how you worded it shiny or if the thread ended up in a forum war

Not surprising for a pvp thread :)

There never needs to be more than one active thread on a subject. More than that is spam.

lul I hope that is the one OP is looking for. That would be too funny. Thanks for hunting it down!
