How many would do it?

Seriously thinking about deleting my main so I can reuse it’s name for my remix character.

The remix toon will be better geared by the time the event ends. He’s currently i494 with few S3 and i476 pieces.

Character specific stuff like reputations would be an issue. Redoing all those reps afterwards would be a big undertaking.

but I really want to reuse that toons name and I plan on staying the same class/race anyway

I’m like 8/10 convinced I’ll do it.

I’ll send all of his gold to an alt for safe keeping after liquidating everything in bags and bank.

You didn’t actually read about the transition from mop remix to TWW did you?

I can’t reuse the same name…unless something has changed

…also it would still be my main toon and would be better geared from remix than retail

Yeah I’m never deleting my main, or my 2nd main, or my forum main. Ever.

Feel free to do what you want on that front.

I’m not emotionally attached to any of them really, just have alot of stuff done that I wouldn’t want to repeat

edit: if all of my progress was account bound,reps and everything, it wouldn’t be a big deal at all to delete any or even all of them

As much as I’d like to use this name on a Remix character, I’m not deleting a character with almost 726 days /played on it. Too much sweat. I’d sooner make the character on a different server than delete this one. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I’m not so sure they will be better geared when they transition. You almost certainly won’t be keeping 556 ilvl gear.

Deleting your main for a few ilvls that will be replaced in two levels is not a good idea.

A completely fresh main? The idea is intriguing, but I would rather not lose all that work.

Funny that i’m doing something similar with fusing my old mains together. Still not sure what I should get from a Worgen druid and Human paladin. :robot::test_tube:

Deleting your “main” to reuse the name in a four month long event means you probably don’t actually have a main, you just play FOTM

Remix gear isn’t going to carry over to Retail, since the gear is fundamentally different from Retail. Most likely, Remix characters will be outfitted with the same gear you get from a level 70 boost when the transition happens. Which is…what, 424 or something like that?

nah, I’ve had 2 “mains” since cata.

I just don’t switch toons much, none of my alts can even get into current heroic dungeons. I simply don’t play them enough.

Well it’s mainly that you obviously won’t keep the OP gear but I’m not so sure what gear they will give us come time to transition. I’ve seen people say the ptr gave them the same gear a level boost would be which would be 424 I think?

Would be nice to get an official word about what happens with the gear earned in remix if we don’t get to keep it.

I like WoW, and I will buy tokens every now and then , but I’m not sure I’ll start buying renames.
