Actually agree with this. I would have gone the Thunderfury route and made it rare. The raid freaks out when it drops type of deal.
It would have been fine if they didnât drop the weekly handout, but I do agree that moments like binding drops are peak.
Itâs very rare in retail You can play there.
It was a epic random drop in naxx and 12 resets are 3 months. Enought time for getting an item in wow.
I donât know how you expect âeveryoneâ to get it when in 3 resets files are still stuck with 6 or fewer bars. They are the limiting factor, not mats.
12 resets everyone will have their bars.
It doesnât matter.
Yeah but 90% of players arenât going to kill the last boss and get the quest item to start ashbringer next part ![]()
Why be so cynical about the scenarios you make up in your head rather than the perfectly good reality there is to be cynical about
Do you even know what Iâm talking about? That the weekly Scarlet box gives a lightforged ingot to anyone who can use Cashbringer regardless of whether theyâre on the quest or not?
Like hot damn at least understand the matter at hand before making some snarky comment.
Zugbrain be like.
And yeah, it does matter when a weapon that should be cool and âlegendaryâ is going to be dime a dozen.
But why? In P4 I saw HoR everywhere, I still see TF everywhere, & Atiesh basically became 1 per reset once the majority starting clearing Naxx HM3(which was what 3-4 weeks into the phase?). Legendaries in SOD have never been super rare and honestly Ashbringer will likely be the rarest legendary in SOD while the content is actually relevant. At this point in every other phase since phase 4 legendaries were being given out like candy yet as far as im aware weâve seen 1 Ashbringer.
If everyone getting enough Iron to start getting an Ashbringer in mid-June ruins it for you then thats 100% a you problem.
The way they did it, they gave everyone the expectation of being able to get it, while also having a large material cost for the players obtaining it, which drives up the cost of those materials to a ridiculous price.
Itâs genuinely kind of toxic.
The quest chain should have been the main objective of obtaining it after gathering the orange pieces of the item, but they also decided these three classes had too much gold, as well. Itâs certainly a choice.
Ngl I hate the idea of ashbringer being a really common weapon, but at this point Iâve been so unlucky with weapon drops that I just donât care anymore.
No, you didnt.
I saw maybe a couple HoR and thunderfury was more prevalent than classic, but definitely not everywhere. You can not get Atiesh in 1 lockout, it takes a minimum of 2 and thats doing HM4 everytime. Not every guild right at the beginning, and still most arent, is farming HM4 Naxx. Do you see multiple per guild? Absolutely. But there is a huge difference between guilds having 2-3 atieshs and every single caster having one. Yet, 1-2 months practically every warrior, hunter, or paladin will have one.
I couldnât log into Org without seeing at least 3 HoR running around on either a shammy or a druid. If I see a prot warrior or tank rogue hes rocking a TF. My guild has atm 7 complete Atieshâs. But please continue to tell me what im seeing.
7 across multiple different raid teams? Because 7 in the same raid team is a complete lie and you know it.
You can NOT get more than 36 shards per Naxx lockout at HM4, and that is the maximum, hence a minimum of at least 2 lockouts. And guilds werent regularly clearing HM4 until at least a couple weeks in.
Must be time for you to play another game then bud if you canât handle everyone getting something
Are you really discovering SoD now ? Itâs not classic and legendaries are not as rare as they used to. Itâs a seasonal server, itâs fine.
This would have been true until the MASSIVE gold sink. I donât have, nor do I have time to farm the mats for the quest line. Over 5k in mats plus the ore, and a raid clear.
Iâm sure my guild is pissed they gave me the first item and 2 ore. Before that info came out. Cause I will never make the ashbringer.
Iâve never understood people being upset about other people getting something fun and cool. Your ego is astronomical.
There is a big difference between âother peopleâ and âeveryoneâ, but it isnât like youâre here to argue in good faith rather than just make some snarky gotcha.
