Because this community is full of people who only care about having the same experience they did in 2004 with no changes and they get upsetti spaghetti and call everyone else snowflakes when anything is changed to help out other people.
The game menu seems to have an Accessibility section with General, Colorblind Mode and Text to Speech which appears similar to that of Retail, though I think there is also a mounts section in Retail.
I don’t know. Maybe because there would have to be some time and effort allocated to doing so, and whatever things you may be pointing to, someone else may point to other things with the same questions. Which things are worth spending time on versus which are potentially better served through addons?
There’s always trade-offs, I guess. People have been using meter addons for damage, healing, etc. forever and it hasn’t been added as baseline. I wonder why not.
One negative I can see is that it could reduce player choice, and reduce motivation for those who are actively working on addons, but I’m not familiar enough with your particular situation to have a reasonable understanding of what you’d like or what its impact may be.
