I pointed out that yalls whole bank of reasons for liking and wanting rsv are subjective. You passed that over and just said i missed your point. Both sides in this argument are constantly shouting at the other side that they aren’t listening and if only they understood the points being made they’d see the error of their ways. Liking rsv is fine. Liking msv is fine. These are subjective views and can’t be “wrong”. No lore needed or precedent necessary. It should be enough to say “i like this spec”. Blizz will do what they from there, but both sides keep at each other like one side is right and the other is wrong.
I said that you missed the point because you did, or at least it seemed that way, based on what you wrote.
I wasn’t arguing about who likes what, or who should. He/she said that we should play BM or MM if we want ranged, as opposed to petitioning for SV to be reverted back to ranged. For one, I’m not petitioning for SV to be reverted, and secondly, what he said there wasn’t a subjective point of “you like x, I like y, so stop asking for y to be removed”, nor did his/her argument address the fact that the reason for why we want RSV isn’t just because it was ranged option, but specifically because of how it played, again, something that cannot be found in either BM or MM.

I play MM when im on my lvl 30 twink to dps race. I think thats it. On this toon I only swap into the spec to transmog my gear with a bow to see what I can make.

On this Forum, and conditionally, in the game, I am a friend of Bebbles. I admire his debating ability, while at the same time, feel sorry for those who try him unprepared. (Think Illidan; You come to MY world… You are unprepared…) Most of us support our Hunter specs. Bepples supports the Hunter Class. He wants what was taken from us returned. That is NOT whining.
Bebbles is also a Goblin. Horde… as I said, conditional.
But not alone.

Anyone who supports bringing back a play style I had fun with (RSV) I’d consider a friend, those against, are my enemy (well then there is Toxy, he’s just good for a laugh).

I feel like more people would’ve been happy if survival in its current form was just added as a new spec under a different name and RSV could’ve just remained as it was.
But that’s kind of a butterfly effect can of worms.

I don’t think there is a single person on the forums who is against bringing rsv back as a 4th spec.
You must not have have been long, several that keep repeating just that (including the comedy relief in this thread). * Ghorak a strong supporter of the 4th spec idea and he get shouted down a lot over it.

Fair enough! Tbh I think of most of it as back and forth hyperbole. Nobody wants to lose what they enjoy. But why would anyone want another to not have access to the play style they enjoy?
The usual reason is “The Class doesn’t need a 4rth spec. It’s a waste of resources.”

Not as a fourth spec as hunters dont need special privilege like that. But as a talent option to change some abilitys when selected im game for. Alot of our talents should be baseline anyways so theres room to make this a thing.

Would love to see harpoons melee weapon requirement taken off so you can equip a bow and replace raptor strike with arcane shot.
