I feel like the Kirin Tor would have something to say about this…

Yes let me have a look at this hrm hrmhm.. coughs and turns some pages in the book Ah yes, here it is. Arthas stormed through Quel’thalas like a paper shredder and destroyed the Sunwell and your mages weren’t able to stop him. Or are we just conveniently glossing over that bit?

Leave it to the Sin’dorei to live without an ounce of humility, I suppose.

The Kirin Tor will prepare a response after we discuss it in committee and commission a study to determine the most silver tongued retort.

But also, yay for more magic guilds!

Like the Horde in the Second War?

(post deleted by author)

Except that’s simply just wrong, it was only Silvermoon that was saved and the Red Dragons only were the reason the Alliance failed to easily push the Horde back, what got them in in the first place was Gul’dan being able to corrupt a runestone (without any need for an elf traitor).

This is why you don’t have ChatGPT write your arguments for you.

I didn’t write with AI, i used Wiki.gg to read and write as i saw fit. I didn’t include the part regarding the runestones because lore makes them so complex to understand. I dont just follow World of warcarft lore, i also follow Warcraft 3 components.

Burning of Quel’Thalas Specific.
The captive dragons incinerated numerous villages and tracts of pristine woodlands by order of their [Dragonmaw] [riders]. The dragons took no pleasure in this act and wept tears for every living thing they burned, but given the enslavement of their [Aspect], they had no choice but to obey.

The situation with the runestones is hard to read considering the nature of the wording in each. He used the runestones. And yet the runestones were what created the barrier?

Ban’dinoriel Topic Specific.
Ban’dinoriel ([Thalassian] for “the Gatekeeper” or the Gate Keeper) is the name given to the nigh impenetrable [arcane] shield that once surrounded [Silvermoon City] and the rest of the [elven] [kingdom], forming a component of the second [elfgate].
…Likewise, the [Old Horde] assault could not pierce the shield, and Silvermoon remained protected throughout the [Second War]despite [Gul’dan]‘s [warlocks]’ best efforts to subvert the shield.

Second Elf gate, lore does not speficy what covered the first gate. Were there 2 shields or two sets of runestones. Those we see in the game, or those that are mentioned at the border to the kingdom?

Runestone Topic Specific.
Original [Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness] description of the runestone at [Caer Darrow]: The runestone was an ancient monolith erected by the [elven druids] and inscribed with powerful runes of protection and warding. The runestone, seized by [Gul’dan] and his [ogres], was eventually hewn into slates that were then used to construct the [Altars of Storms].

Tell warcraft to get their lore fixed. I didn’t include the part regarding the stones because lore pages don’t spell it out so simply.

So did the barrier cover all of quel’thalas or only the second gate and beyond. What covered the first and were the runestones inside the barrier or outside it?

Was there a set of stones at the first gate? Those that followed along side the mountain range between our border and what is now known as the plaguelands?

The Founding of Quel’Thalas Specific.
** They constructed a series of monolithic [Runestones] at various points around Quel’Thalas which marked the boundaries of the magic barrier.**

Mate, the entire prose and “not only X but Y” style especially makes it really obvious. That and the fact that now that you’re trying to claim the first two posts weren’t AI your entire style of prose changed.

I didn’t really mind after the initial post, but given this and the fact it’s resulting in really incoherent arguments such as:

  • Completely ignoring the initial point I made that “those defenses had successfully kept invaders out for millennia” in not only saying they didn’t during the Second War but also doing via the usual incorrect amalgamation of whatever was scrapped up and regurgitated
  • Failing to understand that 90% of WC3 has was retconned multiple times over (for better or for worse, that’s how Blizzard does it)
  • Weird mixing of IC and OOC (refering the the Belves/Helves as “our” despite the fact this isn’t an IC argument)

I don’t see a point in continuing and will thus bow out of the thread.

Have a good one.

Your opinion is noted and irrelevant. I will proceed onward with my post and recruiting without your approval. Have a good evening and best wishes.

I’m probably going to wish I had bowed out immediately as I said, but whatever, here it goes.

I think it is at least somewhat relevant that people will be able to see the whole “uses an AI, blatantly lies about it” thing with said recruiting.

Don’t really have an issue with people using AI for themselves/with other people who accept it, not my cup of tea but hey I’m not the police of other people. I do however think it’s really in poor taste to try and hide it.

Again the opinion is noted and irrelevant to the OP. The OP is to recruit.
Not an AI discussion making your comments irrelevant to the cause. If you are not interested in the guild or my idea, i have no interest in anything unrelated to the OP.

Have a good evening and enjoy the Midnight experience.

I mean, as I just said, my point was more about GM behaviour than anything else. Kinda think that’s relevant to recruiting.

My recruiting and choice of tools to aid in creativity are not in violation of Warcraft Terms of service.

Your opinion has been noted but is irrelevant to the OP. Thank you for your interest in my post and enjoy your time in Midnight.

Where did I say they were?

Note: Stuff below was edited out by the OP as I was typing, leaving it for posterity:

Where did I say they did?

Which is exactly my point, I wanted to say that I feel it is relevant for people who might be interested to see the whole “use AI, blatantly lie about it” as that is the exact sort of situation they may not approve of and wish to separate themselves from.

No idea how saying that is trolling, personally?

Your opinion has been noted and is irrelevant to the Op. Thank you for your interest in my guild. If you have any further questions regarding guild activity, or discord (currently being developed) please leave a post listed and i will get back to them as i am available.

In the mean time, feel free to associate yourself with other aspects of Sin’dorei culture and tools that can be used to further enhance the roleplaying experience.

I would suggest the Silvermoon City Banner, Ring of Broken Promises, Sylvanas’ music box, and any other item suggestions to futher dedication to the blood elf organization.

Please note, the Magisters are predominantly a magic-users guild. Mage, Warlock, Priests classes are predominant but we are possibly investing in the avenue of druidism, given the nature of relations with our Amani/Zandalar/Troll friends.

Warning to Tauren friends. “We’re allied with the Tauren? Fantastic! We’ll be having steak twice a week.”
