Today I was playing a character quietly, then I wanted to switch to another character and come back, then I got stuck like an idiot, I can’t enter.

Same thing with the forum login, as luck would have it, I had to wait a long time to log in.

10-15 years ago, you could have problems with your computer, your modem, your internet provider, and Blizzard. Now, everything has evolved, and nothing breaks down anymore. Except for Blizzard of course, they have regressed, and now the only possibility of failure that still exists is them.

But what happened to them? They used to be the boss.
The incompetence of Blizzard is becoming unbearable, I’m really sorry to say so, but at some point you have to tell it like it is if you want to see change.

Especially since the servers are empty, it’s really not the best time to do this kind of thing, and still disrespect their players by doing unexpected maintenance.

And they really think we’ll buy their other games, Diablo 2, Call of etc? HAHAHA what a joke, there is no way! I won’t buy any more games from a company that has forgotten what it’s like to make games, and that you shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds you…

Unless of course they get their act together, and rectify everything that has gone wrong in the last few years. We need them to restore our confidence in them, as they used to do.

“Beware, the Blizz employees disguised behind normal avatars will probably follow my message right away.”

I don’t remember who said that on the forum lol.
Haaa if only it were true, to be able to talk directly with the developers. Sweet dream …

Blizzard doesn’t have anything to do with Call of Duty.

This is part of the maintenance they warned us about for today. That it might affect logging in, and was an all-game thing.

Most of us have been aware of downtime today and tomorrow for the past 3-4 days . . .

Blizzard has very durable servers, they’ve gone down unexpected like. . . less than 10 times in all the years I’ve played.

So I’m not seeing how they’re the incompetent ones when they announced today’s downtime ahead of time.

So they announced maintenance for today, warned that there could be login issues/authentication issues, and you are mad that you can’t login/authenticate? Got it.

Why should I not buy call of etc because wow has the same old service issues? If anything I should be buying the others instead of wow

First of all, empty servers would be the best time to do maintenance so you are not inconveniencing people.

Second of all, the maintenance was not unexpected, it was announced several days.

Third of all, who :poop: in your cornflakes?

I guess you missed the giant announcement plastered on your battlenet launcher and on your character select screen that states that they’re doing maintenance all day and you’ll be experiencing login issues.

Crazy

Well I for one am interested in Diablo IV. So yeah, I will keep buying their other games.

I can’t wait for Diablo 4

This was not a “failure”, it was planned maintenance of the login server that was clearly shown on the battle.net launcher. Highlight the triangular icon with an explanation point in the middle and it says:

“We will be performing scheduled maintenance beginning on Monday, August 30th at 06:00 AM (PDT). During this time, you may encounter slow or failed logins and be unable to complete purchases in-game and through the Battle.net Shop. We expect the service to be fully available again at approximately 12:00 PM (PDT).”.

Your own failure to read a notification has nothing to do with Blizzard being incompetent, this one is 100% on you.

ngl i have to buy diablo4 and diablo2 and probably anything related to diablo that comes after - that is not on phones.

i just have to. sorry.

I’ve removed the games I don’t play from being shown in the launcher.

However, the popup advertising in the Battle.net App is annoying. Sure show it in the “news” but there shouldn’t be popups. If I am interested in the game you decide to advertise, I will probably buy it without the popup.

As for the logins today, they stated that maintenance would affect them. meh!

Theres been a notice about maintenence happening for the last few days though? How is this unexpected when they’ve been telling us its going to happen for the last few days now?

You mean D2:R? Yeah, I bought it the moment it was announced. D2 was and is still one of the best games out there to me even if its 2 decades old. That just goes to show you how awesome of a game I find it. PoE is too complex and has so much going on it’s just bleh, though I love the amount of skills you can use. That part of it makes it the best in terms of customizability/variety and I wish D2:R gets that level. Project D2 and Median XL did amazingly awesome at giving variety to it, so I hope the devs look at those games and do the same thing.

D3 was just bleh, it wasn’t even remotely fun. I missed out on the real world auction house thing they did at the start of it though, as I was told people were making hundreds of dollars from it, maybe even a thousand bucks from it.

Grim Dawn wasn’t too bad, but it had little of what I wanted for my DoT specs, so it got boring quick. I loved the survival/gladiator arena thing you could level up in, though. That was the most fun leveling to me.

Other games are good, but none of them still compare to D2 and how much it inspired people and how much fun it was. The bot aspect of it , though, really killed the community.
