I think it is reasonable to revisit this topic now that we are several expansions away from the Mage Tower.
While I do lean towards the Mage Tower skins becoming available again, even for a short time, I think simply making them available to all would, ultimately, be a waste of resources and insulting to those who completed the Mage Tower when it was current.
Rather than explain the why, I’ll just blurt out the what:
Mage Tower Weekend
Like Timewalking but, you guessed it, with Mage Tower and with a twist, or two.

Mythic+ type of affixes, designed for single-player. To keep it interesting and current, of course.

New Mage Tower inspired skins/recolors are purchased with currency earned from doing Mage-Tower weekend. Original Mage Tower skins CANNOT be unlocked, they remain exclusive.
A recurring weekend event which repurposes existing assets and rewards could appeal to the entire player-base in a cost-effective manner without infringing upon the accomplishments of past subscribers.
That’s just my 2 cents.

So we are just going to keep banging our heads on this particular wall? People will say we don’t want it for free and yall just keep saying “if it’s just given out” like it’s halloween candy. I mean it’s hard to have a discussion when people won’t even listen to whats being said and move the conversation forward.

I have both of the mage tower forms for Guardian and Feral. Guardian was only a cakewalk if you had the right legendaries and a considerable amount of experience soloing stuff, while Feral was a cakewalk if you had a functional brain. I’d actually argue that if getting the form was as easy as the OP claims, then that’s all the more reason for Blizzard to turn down the request; that you had roughly a year or so to do this one “easy” thing to get the form and you blew it.
I’m more curious as to why try so hard demanding something so unimaginative? Why not covenant forms? Why not something we’ve never seen before? Why does it have to specifically be the mage tower forms over all else?

I have a Swift Zandalari Tiger mount.
I also have the Swift Razashi Raptor mount.
I ran ZG a LOT of times when it was current.

Eventually I got it. I spent a great deal of time on this.
Nobody else can get them now because it was removed from the game.
I also have a Vampiric Batling.
Nobody else can get it now because it was removed from the game.
My hunter has the axe from a prepatch that turns him into the Guitarist from L80ETC.
Nobody else can get it now because it was removed from the game.
Most recently there was the Accursed Keepsake. I got that too and have a haunted memento.
Nobody else can get them now because they were removed from the game.
THESE ARE ALL GLAMOR ITEMS.
They offer no gameplay advantage.
Timed events are timed for a reason: to make things more special.
Everyone wanted the Ashbringer until everyone got one. Now nobody wants one and nobody cares. I applaud those who got the forms in time. I wasn’t playing then, and I am cool with that.
WHAT I DO WANT is for blizzard to release new forms. Covenant specific ones sound good, and I think this is eventually what they will do.
I noted also that some of the mobs such as the Tauraluses (taurali? whats plural) have bear images on their buff icons. Don’t read into that too much, but I’m hoping there’s something to this.

This is what I’m starting to lean towards. My only concern is that if it’s too thematic to covenants it might feel silly using it outside of Shadowlands. Generic has a bad connotation but I think Id like to see new forms that were just druid themed.
Of course the most amazing scenario would be if they presented us with several new forms and let the druid community decide what theyd most like to see made real. Kinda like they did with those mounts we voted on, which btw what ever happened to that?

I do have the forms.
I think Blizzard can do it trough Chromie time, even if we have to level another druid and equip it at the right level to do it. It should be doable. The classes aren’t at all that different from back then and people should have a chance to see how “hard” it is…
I don’t care if they bring it back or not. I got them all! But what I would like is for more people to have it, and use it, so that now it doesnt seem unique to have and I can then use some of the other skins. Right now I feel like I must use it to show off how awesome I am! But if Blizzard decides to bring it back and more people have it, then I probably wouldnt feel the same and I can pick another cool form skin to be.
But again, I truly dont care either way. Shoulda played the content then if you want the reward now. Life goes on 
I use the glyph oh chameleon for cat and bear form. Every time I switch forms, I get a new form all the time.
Ex: i go cat (get the fire cat), switch to bear ( get the green disco bear), switch again I get discipline kitty… etc
It’s always a surprise lol

Not a bad idea! Not a big fan of the owl form. Maybe Ill purposely upset the raid by switching in and out of forms until I get outta owl lol.

I can wrap my pea brain around the fact just fine. Can you admit you just don’t want anyone else to have the shiny you have? You claim you want to be distinguished for the accomplishment, you can, have at it. The hulk bear in different colors would not be the same recognition and in fact could be derogatory that a player wasn’t good enough to get the MT colors. But that still wouldn’t make you happy would it? Because you feel special.
Most of us have already admitted this. It’s also what Blizzard intended.

selfish people are selfish I guess. Offering the form in different colors would appease both sides, MT kings would still be acknowledged as the truly superior players they are while newer players could still enjoy a new form. But you keep your shiny form all to your self. And I wont bother quoting all the many time Blizz said one thing and did another. Its not about recognition for you, its about being a snowflake.
Wrong. It’s nothing to do with the color/recolor - as stated many times before, it’s the base model that matters.
Everyone having the werebear model would definitely make it a lot less desirable in peoples eyes.
