We will absolutely get something from the Unused Appearance section when we get new 450/500 mount achievements.
The top two I would like to see is the Blue Storm Drake or the Purple Dread Raven
I had another idea that I would like to see but is not likely and may not be very popular. How about a Horde useable Gryphon and an Alliance useable Wind Rider. If our characters managed to get ahold of dozens of Drakes, Wolves, Sabers, ect I would think he/she would have managed to get a Gryphon/Wind Rider at some point.

Another recolored model of a generic mount.
A new model that can only be achieved by the 450 mount reward and this model will not be used for anything but that.

I am only at 255 mounts usable on a single character, so I have a while before even worrying about it.

The Frostshard Infernal is one of my favorite mounts ever. Just make a macro that summons different mounts based on whether the zone you’re in is flyable or not. You’ll get plenty of use out of it in dungeons/bgs.
On topic, someone mentioned a brutosaur in a previous thread I saw about this, and that would be pretty cool. No vendors, obviously, but it would be a shame for such a cool model to disappear completely after this expansion…

Man…450…I can’t even think that far.
Little ol’ me is only currently going for 250…
Sitting pretty at 248 hoping to get lucky with the last 3 Argus mounts I need or something like the Onyxian Drake.
Fully support this, or the blue storm drake too.
Also I fancy myself the red Ur’zul but that one might be unpopular

Looks like it’s based of that Raven Lord from TBC, from the druid flight form quest. I always thought it was weird that the mob required for the flight form dropped a mount that couldn’t fly, this would have made much more sense.
Just browsing through those unused models.
A few options I wouldn’t mind seeing:
Blue Mushan. Unlikely, but it’s a nice color.
Blue Parrot. Since we’re heading out of BfA and the parrots were pretty popular, it seems like a reasonable choice.
One of the Windsteed variants. While it’s a retired store mount, these guys originate in the Shadowlands, making them a relevant pick (I particularly like the one that resembles Ganon):
Purple Kodo. Just to watch the fireworks following the announcement.
