There’s been lots of brutosaur threads. I only bring it up because there could be some good tips from people who actually know how to make gold in one of those.
If you’re bringing up lots of alts, the most simplistic way is to run old raids. WoD ones. It’s not the “best” way, but like I said, it’s probably the most simplistic.
Other than that, what people claim to be the “best” is AH flipping. Lots of guides on that around, but it’s pretty time investing from what I’ve heard.
I suck at making gold and have an absolutely 0% chance of earning this mount. So, I don’t know anything better than what I just told you. Unless you’re a true blue mount collector, going for 400 mount achievement or something (10 away from my 250 mount achieve
!) , I don’t see any good reason to throw a mountain of gold at one mount.
someone in another thread said that with 5 max levels that are reasonably geared, you can get roughly 100k a week by running all WoD raids (all 3 difficulties) and vendoring the items you get which should net you the 5m gold required within the next year. i am not sure how accurate that is, but with 18 120s you should be able to get like 300-400k a week that way which should in theory get you the gold within 12ish weeks
Roleplay on Moonguard
That sounds like a soul crushing torture.
If thy are dks you can sell the items from the leggo for quite a bit.
Run one toon through all WoD raids and all their difficulties each day.
Farming old raids is probably the best. 2k emissaries is also great when it comes up. I don’t recommend paragon chests.
Of course you can also mass farm resources and sell them on the AH.
I have tried this and am either really bad at it or it’s a problem with my server. Prob both lol!
I’ve also read that Panda raids are more lucrative and could make gold off the pets. No sure which is better hmm.
It is very boring ![]()
I did this on 12 asap at the start of BFA thinking we would get gold again like Legion… ![]()
Get your mission table up and running, max out your followers, and run every gold mission you get on all your toons.
Oh, wait! This isn’t Legion anymore …
That doesn’t sound right… You get like 3-4k for Highmaul/BrF altogether. That’s 12k for both on all 3 difficulties… Multiply that by 5 characters and it’s 60k so I’m not sure HC makes up the 40k
Out of the ~150 ToT runs I have done, I have seen 4 pets drop, pets are rare but so rare it is not worth it.
I stopped running ToT after I got the Ji kun mount, it’s such a long raid. I know the pets that were already in game are really rare, but there are also the pets from the new Pandaria raiding with leashes achv. Those sell between 1-15K on my server, well… IF they sell.
That was me! If I do HFC on all three difficulties on one toon, I get roughly 10k from vendoring everything. If you did the other raids also, pretty sure you could easily hit 20k per week, per toon.
As an added bonus, you will likely pick up some nice transmogs for yourself, maybe some you can sell on the AH. On mythic, the last boss has a chance to drop a cool mount.
For soloing HFC, especially on mythic, I can’t imagine doing it as anything other than an Affliction 'lock. Insta-dots and your voidwalker has an AOE attack on a short cooldown. The only place this is a concern is the first encounter, other than that, pretty sure all classes can faceroll it all.
You may be right. I’m the one he was quoting. I’ve run the living heck out of HFC, but only the others once or twice, running for 'mogs, so wasn’t paying attention to how much gold I made.
ChĂŻntzy, you are already the ideal class. Teleportation and portals make farming gold on a mage particularly helpful.
First thing is first, you will want to determine what your server population is like and actively monitor the market for various items (mounts, rare transmog drops, materials for professions) on the Auction House. You will also want to actively monitor the Auction House for items for sale at a significantly lower cost than their typical value. For example, a Jeweled Panther for sale for 9,000g instead of 20,000g or more. You will want to purchase low-priced items and “flip” them.
The higher your server population, the more likely you’ll be able to make a sale on the Auction House; but at the same time, it’s also more likely you’ll run into competition. If you are on a low population server selling expensive items such as mounts or rare equipment can take a long time (days to weeks to months).
If you plan to go ham on the Auction House, I recommend creating a Level 1 Banker Alternative (Alt) to moderate all of your Auction House transactions. You will want to equip yourself with max-slot bags for both your main and bank alt.
If you have friends who are interested in supporting this venture of yours, you can also create a guild on your level 1 bank alt and invite them to it so they can make donations to the guild bank either with items you can sell on the Auction House or with gold donations.
In addition to Auction House moderation, you’ll want to max out your profession and begin to consider crafting items that are popular and decently priced on your server’s Auction House. For example, if you’re a tailor, you may want to begin stocking up on supplies to become the purveyor of max-slot bags.
Completing dailies and running old raids can also aid in your quest to reach 5M gold, but regardless of what you choose to do, it will be a long grind to reach your goal.
I wish you luck in your quest, and I hope you manage to get the Mighty Caravan Mount before the launch of Shadowlands, assuming that is your end-goal. I recommend giving this Gold Making Guide a brief look through; though, the prices listed in it are slightly dated as of early BFA.
The best time to make gold is when something new comes out.
Cheeky upstarts.
@ChĂŻntzy, I also recommend getting the mobile app so that you can continue to do mission table quests even when you cannot get in-game.
I don’t get this. Why are people buying WoD mats? And if everybody is doing this to make gold, won’t this stuff be selling for copper?
