Have some basic respect for other people’s art. You don’t have to agree with it but it doesn’t matter if you agree with it or not. Chromie does not belong to you. Chromie belongs to blizzard. Blizzard says she uses she/her pronouns. Not going to randomly use he/him pronouns for Sylvanas cuz you feel like it? That’s not respectful of the character.
Edit: gonna put you
Chromie can fit the definition of trans. But it doesn’t matter if she is trans or not. That’s not my argument with you. My argument with you is that she uses she/her pronouns.
Source?
Have they used those terms before? I think the only blizzard IP character who has had a term like that used explicitly was Tracer. Others are described as LGBT through actions/behavior such as having a boyfriend while being a boy, or changing your pronouns from your birth pronouns.
Because that’s how art works. If the artist tells you it should be seen one way it’s disrespectful to see it another way. Ultimately you CAN do whatever you want. Just like I can tell you that it’s disrespectful.
You can claim ambiguity around her trans status but not her pronouns which were 100% explicit.
This is still irrelevant even post edit.
This has no meaning or value to me.
She can fit the definition of trans. So it was more of an inference than an assumption.
I would like you to have respect for the art you claim to care about but that isn’t going to happen.
Obviously you can’t.
“I see him as male that uses female pronouns” well if she is a male that uses female pronouns maybe respect those pronouns and say something like “I see her as a male that uses female pronouns” Because your actions are not backing up your supposed beliefs.
Has this happened cuz I haven’t seen that? She uses she/her pronouns. You can see her gender or trans status as whatever the heck you want because blizzard hasn’t explicitly said “she is a trans woman” But they have explicitly said she uses she/her pronouns.
Obviously you see her as a male who uses male pronouns became you keep using male pronouns.
I am starting to become convinced you’re a troll because you aren’t even following your own logic/belief set. Either that or you’re being hypocritical. I am not super fond of communicating with either such folks so I am going to block you.
Exactly. So why’s everybody going around like they know what’s up with the character?
They deliberately make it as ambiguous as possible meanwhile they just straight up say other characters are gay, lesbian, etc. If Chronormu was a real person, I would, but why should I respect a fictional, non-feeling character that I can interpret how I want to because so much ambiguity surrounds them enabling this?
You don’t give a damn about the rest of us sitting on the fence because trans took all the spotlight when Blizzard never even touched the word.
You want me to call Chronormu by she/her? I can. But I’ll still see him as a male that uses female pronouns, so people getting confused af why I call Chromie by she/her but see her as a male is why I use the male pronouns. Because I see him as a male who uses female pronouns.
That’s the thing! The concept of truth matters so damn much to me that what ticks me off is everybody is rejecting the context of what is being said and filling it with your own internal feelings, blind to any prospect of fact!
Until there’s something stronger stated than “This dude like’s female pronouns”, I’ll just stand by my own perspective of Chronormu being an eccentric Dragon that likes to joke around and step outside the norms, as he is canonically known to do, of everybody else to play around with an opposite gendered visage while all the rest of his brethren just use visages of their own gender.
Chromie is eccentric. You can’t say this isn’t valid for why he does/is like this at all. That’s not trans.
The chromie storyline is really awful. Regardless of the PR stunt gender crap. The writing this game really really tanked.
And why does Thrall look like a trench coat fedora jedi now? I haven’t played since vanilla, and retail looks so bizarre with the routes the writing took. I mean, it’s super super childish and weird.
And what’s worse is I can’t just skip quest texts half the time now. I have to sit through painful, never-ending animations of stuff with which I have no idea what’s going on, and no remote reason to try and look into it.
Chromie is a dragon who seemingly had a masculine name and went by he/him pronouns early in life. Apparently when dragons reach a certain age they choose a prefer “visage form” which is their mortal illusion form. Chromie choose a female gnome and also decided to go by she/her pronouns. Because of this many reasonably thing she is transgender. Regardless she still uses she/her pronouns.
Reasonably is the perfect word for it. I can 100% say that it is reasonable to think/assume Chromie is transgender. I don’t care about anyone believing this as there’s no specified confirmation, same reason I believe what I believe.
Because nothing disuades otherwise him being a male Dragon who loves and prefers female pronouns. I mean you look at articles of feminine and or gay men and you see this being done all the time with each other, I myself can like the sound of them and have wanted to be called “Queen” as a title here and there instead of King. It sounds lovely.
What I can’t stand is everyone stating their feelings about it as 100% fact that “It’s the truth.”
