Mobile Diablo..... LOL..... I knew Blizzard was out of touch with it's fan base but damn. I didn't think it was this bad.

Somebody hasn't been to the Classic forum..

Kinda where I'm at too, but there's no denying that the Diablo debacle was just embarrassing. I'd be ashamed of my own company if I was a Blizzard employee.
The devs at Blizz are way too out of touch with their market already. Such a pity.

Of what? There was nothing in it to make me remotely reconsinder unsubscribing.
Unless you meant reskinned gnome models, or still bad worgen models, if that’s enough to make a game.

Maybe the general public is right about video game players being adult children if this is apparently the reaction to seeing a game you dislike. Jesus, you guys act as if your dog was killed in front of you. Chill the frick out. These are video games. Hobbies. Forms of enjoyment. You don't have to pretend you'd kill someone for not making something you like.
This argument shows up from people white knighting for Blizzard every time, and it's stupid every time
A rough analogy is you're reading a book series, author hypes up the next book in the series, even if you're not hoping for the MOON you expect it would be pretty good. And then he reveals the book, and it turns out he switched the genre from, say, horror to cutesy romance and is writing it for preteens, oh and it's just a boring copy of a dozen books that are already out there with some names switched.
So of course you boo and bash the guy and complain, because booing someone and venting a bit isn't some crazy reaction to a situation like this. And then someone comes up to you and says "Uh excuse me, but expressing frustration with events makes you a baby," in a transparent attempt to be as smug and self-superior as possible.
That's you. That's what you're doing.
holy crap this interaction should really /end thread. I have never seen sch a good reply
11/02/2018 11:44 PMPosted by GigolockPC will go the way of the dodo. So will laptops. The future is mobile phones. Embrace it or die.
Then call me a luddite. I will never embrace mobile for anything other than short little puzzle games. It is an inferior platform.
Or I guess I will just have to channel my inner teenager from 20 years ago and make my own small little computer games to appease myself. Heck, with Unity is 300x easier now.
Are you people actually saying it's players fault for over hyping diablo? Diablo MADE blizzard, NOT warcraft, NOT WOW, NOT Starcraft. Diablo put Blizzard on the map, it allows Blizzard to make WW3, WOW and Starcraft. D3 was a disappointment but the players base still support it. Diablo player base has always hoped that Blizzard would show some respect for the franchise that built the company. So yes we hyped up every Diablo announcement hoping the franchise would be given the care and development like it had back in D2.
Is this up there with "Nerf it to the Ground" and " You think you want it , but you dont " ??11/02/2018 09:58 PMPosted by Kentaurus11/02/2018 09:56 PMPosted by KyveliThey'll just ask if we seriously don't have phones.
That comment from that dev alone is meme worthy...on second thought, no it's not. That would be doing memes a severe injustice.
11/02/2018 09:51 PMPosted by Azivalla11/02/2018 09:47 PMPosted by PripyatLiterally the worst Blizzcon ever. Being booed at your own event. Then condescending the crowd. "D-do you not have phones?" You guys got lucky the attendees didnt have your hides. Pathetic and disgusting.

We pay for what we want. When we don't get what we paid for it is our right to complain. Or would you rather be served veggie meat when you order a burger with fries at the diner you always got great juicy beef burgers from?

It might be.
Yep can understand people there being upset, with Diablo hardly getting any presence in blizzcon for sometime and no panel last year, and with some big announcement this year where everyone took the time off from their busy schedule that includes work, academics and various other life obligations to spend time at Blizzcon to hear the big news about their favorite game that turned out to be a very disappointing mobile game instead of a new Diablo expansion or a Diablo 4. and to rub salt in the wound their only defense was asking if the crowd had phones. Yeah can totally see why they would be more than just annoyed by it. Instead of wasting everyone's time and emotions over a "big reveal" they can just announce it on a lesser convention or online, instead they wasted all the attendees time to show off a game on mobile, the most bottom of the barrel platform for games. They don't call mobile games mobage for no reason.
Sorry, Google Play is there waiting for you!

This kinda behavior should be making you ALL question the ethics of the company we are funding.
:(

Judging by your attitude and lack of critical thinking skills, your opinion is invalid and worthless.11/03/2018 12:07 AMPosted by LtqueDress it up how you want, but your opinion is invalid and worthless.
They're selling Warcraft themed iphones in the store. Preloaded with diablo garbage. All the idiots will buy it.
11/02/2018 10:04 PMPosted by AndrrasteI still can't believe they genuinely thought they were going to hype a mobile game to a crowd that was most likely 95%+ PC exclusive players. Bringing out a mobile game is effectively this equivalent to them just saying "You don't matter to us, we want that sweet sweet Chinese mobile market?"
Diablo was definitely the wrong audience to try and dive into the mobile gaming market with. Why would PC players want to play on their phones? I bought Diablo 3 for the Switch mostly just to have something to play on it till Smash comes out since I've beaten all my current titles.
Having said that though the whole pandering to the Chinese mobile market people keep preaching is getting tiresome. Yes, China leads the way essentially with roughly 16 million dollars of revenue being generated annually through mobile games, but the United States isn't slacking. Revenue in mobile games from the US alone is expected to reach 10 million in the new couple of years, with the mobile gaming user population rising steadily. As a company I can see why Blizzard is trying to get in on it and not purely aiming at the Chinese market but the US market as well. They just dropped the ball and chose the wrong franchise.
I’m pretty much done with Blizzard games. Not sure what happened, but this company is in a serious downward spiral. Between CDPR, Bethesda, and Rockstar, I’ll have plenty to do. Oh well, it was a nice ride while it lasted. Maybe if they actually listen and give players what they want, they can redeem themselves. But I wouldn’t count on it. Sure, it’s there company and they can make the games they want. And I can spend my money how I want. And it’s not on a mobile game or a remaster of a 20 year old game.
