Before we undoubtedly get this garbage unfun affix at some point in the upcoming weeks, please, for the love of god, please delete it. Get rid of it. I don’t want to spend a week playing fortnite and smite but that’s the plan if we get explosive.

Delete, fine. It would also be fine if they could get hit by AoE and didn’t have to be single targeted. It’s just so annoying in this current state that I skip weeks with Explosive. That Explosive is placed on the same level as Quaking, Volcanic, and now Storming is just ridiculous.

It’s easy. I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem on explosive week. Some of them are annoying but it’s far from difficult to deal with they have like no health now.

Yep, when playing with friends and one goes “Hey I’ll handle explosive” I don’t really focus them

Fortified, quaking, necrotic now that it’s managable, skittish, raging, volcanic, overflowing.
Notice how your friends’ dps was like 1000 less? That’s abnormal, judging by their logs. Taking 300 globals away from the group is not a free affix.

The problem with Explosive is with certain class mechanics.
Like for bear tanks, their main abilities are Swipe & Thrash, but if you hit an explosive with either - EVEN IF YOU’RE TARGETING IT - it does zero damage. Because an AoE ability won’t even damage an explosive orb you’re targeting.
Which is dumb.

I didn’t miss it. I’m not trying to make you look bad, but I’m telling you. They were working a lot harder than you against the explosives in that dungeon, making it a free affix for you. But it’s not a free affix for them and it’s not a free affix for most people.
The most explosives come up when there are the most targets, which is problematic because that is when people should be bursting.
If we gave rogues smoke bomb; could we do that on big pulls and ignore explosives? Might be fun.
With a little bit of hope they could kill affixes and the timer and make 5 mans something I want to do again. Heroic won’t even give gear on par with crafting, and I remember when it was so much more.

Explosive is the most annoying and unfun affix. The only thing even close is bolstering.
