Delay shadowlands! but

…put the new customizations in the game already, so we can mess around with them while we wait for you to fix the problems your making for yourself, blizzard.

edit: for the record, i’m only saying they should delay, so they can ‘preferably’ fix-up covenants, monks, etc. i’d rather have an actual choice in what covenant i play, than be forced to go venthyr (seriously, i wanna go nightfae, or necrolords, not emo-vampires).

That’ll never happen. Besides, why delay? Anything that needs to be corrected they can do through patches.

Wasnt that what they already will be doing?
They already said that they Will separate the customization and levling changes from the sistems, and zone data of shadowlands.

So you will get the cosmetics and leveling revamp, on preparch and later, ypu will get all the other things.

nice!

was just putting my 2 cents out there. all the youtube vids i’ve seen of SL are folks saying they should delay it, so… figured i’d get my hopes for what they’d do out there.

All or nothing, gimme new things to kill and slappy hands.

The game is fun, they just need to iron out some bugs and minor issues. Chill out.

Lol all we want are the customizations

No delays please. Do like BFA, how lackluster devs had to improvise. Azerite traits and then back piece with essences. :+1: systemlands probably share similar fate.

that’s like 50% of shadowlands content though

I dont think I can do another month of 8.3. This slog has bad ground hog day sickness

Would be nice if they delay it 1-2 weeks and get all of the opening bugs out. More time for my ghouls to wreak havoc all over Azeroth in prepatch.

To those saying minor issues? That’s completely false. There are major issues. Like game breaking issues to some classes and specs as well as major issues with the covenants. Issues where certain classes may have to be benched. I wouldn’t call those minor issues and bugs. If they can’t delay the expansion, they need to at least delay the raid opening until they can get those issues fixed. Nobody wants a bad release. Yes, minor things can be fixed throughout the expansion. But major issues? No, those can’t be fixed throughout the expansion. We still have a month before release. And if they can get those issues fixed by then, fine. But considering how major class issues for some classes have been largely ignored( example, there were major issues for monks for four months and they didn’t address it), I can say that it’ll take more than a month to fix, unless they shift into overdrive and even then, that’s optimistic.

Soulbinds, covenants, legendaries, they’re all broken and it can’t go live that way

I see people that can saying the same thing over and over again. Most of the people that I’ve seen saying that are going by what someone on Twitch said and hasn’t played on beta to see for themselves where it’s truly at and like.

You can always self delay from playing if you feel it’s not ready and then come back when you think it is ready. There’s no chance they delay it, so might as well get used to that fact and play accordingly. Self delay and come back later or try it out and see how it is.

Very much overexaggerating, give me a break.

You guys also have to look at this from a “business” perspective. What two (2) MAJOR titles are coming out in November?..give up

Assassins Creed: Valhalla - November 10, 2020

Cyberpunk 2077 - November 19, 2020

I’m 100% certain Activision/Blizzard has thought this through for months in advance when both titles had their release date confirmed. This gave Blizzard the “business” opportunity to release Shadowlands prior to those 2 titles hitting the shelf. Think about it, 2 1/2 weeks of Shadowlands, brand new expansion, hype through the roof (may not be for everyone). Everyone knows when you crack open that fresh expansion, there’s SO much to do even weeks to months of gaming. This is also psychological as well. You get so immersed in Shadowlands, you tend to forget about Assassins Creed or Cyberpunk, but, you want to play them just as much as WoW. Sure, you’ll put down WoW for a bit, but burning in the back of your mind, you’re losing out, you’re falling behind everyone else, you guild and friends are raiding, getting into M+ while YOU’RE behind the power curve. See, that’s how games, especially MMORPG affects your brain.

Sure, Cyberpunk 2077 will be a whole new type of experience, somewhat that of the likes of Death Stranding type of gameplay, but it’s has a whole new monster of playstyle which separates Cyberpunk from Death Stranding. Another game FULL of immersion, but, which game do you know better? The time you’ve invested in WoW, the excitements of each day wanting to lock urself away to play nothing but Shadowlands yet these 2 titles still linger.

So, again, from a business perspective, Blizzard did this the smart way. Any delay in Shadowlands release will cost Blizzard time and money to beat their competitors. This way when Shadowlands is out 2 1/2 weeks prior to Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassins Creed, gives Blizzard economical advantage. Think about it.

It’s funny because nobody knows the actual state of the launch patch? To say that they need to wait to release it assumes that they know the product that are about to receive? They don’t know. No one knows what the final download will contain. What fixes have been implemented and what changes we can expect. Those are the secrets only Blizzard knows and they have many developers working on this all the time…

You won’t know what we’re getting until we get it so why wait?

ah, lilhopper, so disappointing, the cute little gnome i’d rp with on my gnomes, didn’t know you’d join the whine-squad. Used to have so much funn with your optimistic, upbeat attitude, and now you’ve joined the naysayers. I shall miss you.
