Alas, that was sort of the starting point waaaay back in early beta that they slowly abandoned as Torghast evolved into a collection of finite layers.
(If I understand it correctly, they found they needed to define different entry points for players in different gear to avoid putting challenge-seekers through a slog trivial layers and then after a point a run became “did you get an invincible stack of powers or not?” rather than reaching a meaningful difficulty curve as you went up)
Considering I can find far more people who can’t stand having to run that place again than you can those who do it for fun, yeah that’s the argument. And don’t use absolutes, it makes you seem like an idiot trying to set up a gotcha.
A clarifying question is a gotcha? I’m not the one using absolutes.
There are plenty of people who enjoy Torghast, and they’re moving in the right direction design wise. People crapping on it because it doesn’t give them a back massage and a birthday present are the problem.
See, you lose when you just make crap up to support your argument. I can easily find loads of posts, videos, etc. of people who can’t stand having to do torghast. You point to seeing a bunch of people there and think that is proof people enjoy it, and you’re simply wrong. You’ve already been told why there are always people there.
p.s. adding a couple more layers is not “improving” anything. Don’t be disingenuous.
Okay, at this point I’m done. You’re simply lying to try and “win” on the internet. No one believes you’re standing in Torghast and doing strawpolls with people as you run to zone in.
Agreed. I grinded for some soul ash on one or two characters for a whole couple of days, and it was awful. I’m never grinding again if I don’t have to. It’s much more pleasurable to me to play how I want, and thankfully so far Shadowlands has allowed me to play grindfree for the most part.
Don’t care about legendary items or any of that farming junk. I’m quite content with LFR or Normal raids and some mythic+. Being a retired raid lead and mythic raider, it feels wonderful to do what I want, when I want, especially with a busy life filled with other hobbies now!! Gone are my constant 24/7 grinding days of WoW. I ended that after Legion
It’s perfectly possible for content to be both loved by one part of an audience and hated by another part.
(I’m managing to salvage some use out of it as a place to do half-a-level of levelling alts now and then, but ultimately I’ve had to accept that the direction the devs decided to take Torghast is just not for me; I’ve not tested the 9.2 additions personally, but nothing I’ve seen suggests I’ll have a different reaction to it )
(Bleh … that came out sounding more negative than I wanted … I just got a little over-excited for Torghast back when it was just a theoretical concept)
Sssooo … you do realize that you can still 5 stars while taking at least an hour. I only say an hour cause I did just that a couple days ago, could be more. There is no minimum run time … at least if there is it’s MORE than reasonable.
Ah yes … because I’m sure you sit down there and clock ever person who comes in on every server all day every day.
You thought wrong. There are plenty of people that love torgast.
Holy freggin cow people … Please stop pretending like the echo chamber of the forums or media actually reflects the greater population.
