Uh, sort of. The specs themselves are usually pretty simple but they’re so intentionally undertuned that they’re kind of at a significant disadvantage just by existing.
For the purposes of pushing flat rating it’s much, much easier to play any of their dps specs.

I’ve actually never played 3s on my dev. I tend to think that I’m stuck playing fdk/dev, so I never try it because finding one would take forever.
Not sure. Maybe. Won a ton of games in a row then never queued again.
Queued into a handful of devs with demos lately. A windwalker or two. A really annoying dev/pres/balance team, too, actually. Havoc was another partner.
I guess dev is in a pretty good spot. I’ve really only heard of fdk/dev being a staple comp. But since it does so much damage it can probably play well with other things.
On the topic of playing with other things queued into an enh/fdk that has been floating around 2400 
Enh pretty much basically plays fdk right now, so it would make sense that synthesize well.
Last time I played with one in a shuffle we won pretty easily by doing the kiting thing. It might also be because FDK is actually busted. It’s not as known cause few fdk can pull it off.

But does it take as much skill as getting R1 on a real spec? The answer is unequivocally no.
How much skill it does take is up for debate… I mean you can probably use Kennie’s current shuffle ratings on Arms to guesstimate how good a player you need to be to get R1 on a tank spec.
I think Kennie is a good player. Just not as good as he thinks he is.

Apparently 2100-2200 Havoc and Arms in shuffle is equivalent to gladiator.

Was/am 2300 shuffle on a dh that I haven’t touched in months. Got tired of playing shuffle on dh.
But yes, great job misconstruing my ratings. Just like you called yourself “R1” while neglecting to note it was on a prot spec.
