I can’t speak to Aff or Demo, but I definitely felt the Destro buffs last night in raid. I went from being in the bottom third of my raid team DPS up to the top 5 (of 10) on every boss fight in Heroic BRD (provided I wasn’t hugging the floor). Actually claimed the #1 spot on Argelmach by a sizable margin, too, thanks to the spread cleave of Mayhem (~1.5m DPS).
The buffs for Destro seem to be basically perfect for bringing it in line with other classes/specs. So yay good news!

If you don’t mind sharing, what build were you running?
I’ve been hearing good things about Hellcaller since the buffs
I ran shadowburn demonFire hellcaller today and it feels really good for M+.
Enjoyed the up front AOE, shard generation seems really good to spam RoF. Malevolence is a nice haste buff that has 33% uptime.

I was thinking what in the fusion of different specs is he talking about.

I tried this Hellcaller Destro spec after the buff in a mythic+ and it worked quite well. I took it from a lock who did a +14. It’s got Shadowburn, Demonfire, Mayhem. No Soulfire. Drop cataclysm on a mob pack then inferno and use malevolence and go to town with demonfire, rain of fire or chaos bolts and shadowburns
Here is the spec code you can copy and paste:

Have same build SB / CDF hybrid.
Tested on dummies and Diabolist still giving me more damage than Hellcaller because of the demons cleave.
I miss the sweet mobility of Hellcaller tho.

Yeah, seems diabolist is still the king for single target, but hellcaller is finally competitive, especially for spread cleave fights. That and I personally prefer the hellcaller play style since it’s more predictable.
That’s great! I loved Hellcaller by default just because of no cast time wither.
% damage buffs don’t make up for loss of rotational impact.
The changes they made to diabolist were dumb, the most fun version of destro was literally in beta, and they keep screwing up.
I am not impressed

Oh, same. I’m very much still hoping there will be changes to smooth out all of the specs’ rotations, but I’m also glad that they buffed us enough for the class to be able to compete better, numbers wise.

Well test dummies don’t move or try to kill you so I think thats not really the best method of measurement or translates into a practical M+ situation

I guess it’s better than nothing, but I won’t sing praises to the devs for such low effort solutions.
Just pulled 1.75m in a +10 NW as hellcaller, shadowburn + demonfire build.
It was really fun and felt great. Def viable for 10s at least.

A few important ones.
Channel demon fire and decimation no longer work together, diabolist nerfed, hellcaller too, infernal and avatar nerfed.
All they needed to do was change ritual from a soul shard cdr to a on hit cdr based on the ability you cast, this would have solved the issue of casting rain of fire in st, without damaging other aspects of the spec.
Which is kinda what they did here, but bad, rain of fire should reduce ritual cdr each hit for like 0.3 sec, for each target up to like 6 targets. Shadowburn 1 sec cdr, chaos bolt 2. Problem solved, no need to nerf decimation, infernal and avatar.

Not even 2M in a big pull fiesta NW ? Time to ignore locks again.
I beat the Ret and Enhance shaman.
Locks def suck.
Ret and enh does less than 2M dps? In NW? what game are you playing ?
