Defense cap apparently not needed in TBC

I know its beta, but seeing prot warriors and prot pallys with 450 defense or less (490 Defense being required for crit immunity) tanking Kara and gruuls (up to 13+ stacks) and barely taking any dmg is quite sad.

If you went to Karazhan with a raid that didn’t outgear the instance thoroughly and the tanks were crit immune…

…well, you played a different BC than I did, apparently.

obviously i did.

Same thing happened with Classic before it came out. Everyone saying how hard it was going to be and so on. Then the raids came along and people killing the raid in 1 night in greens with some blues. Same thing will happen in TBC as well.

Didn’t Blizzard say it’s intentionally undertuned right now?

They didn’t say it was intentionally undertuned (At least not that i read) but they did say there were some bugs found and that some of their settings “were not working”. Specific words:

“In particular, we’ve identified several areas where our intended first phase encounter settings weren’t being applied properly in the Beta.”

Not time to panic just yet, it’s beta. Let’s see

Yea they did say that it was in it’s nerfed version.

I assume on accident.

Most people knew right away tho as they were dropping badges.

T4 is going to be easy (just like MC), and then the tiers get progressively harder. SWP is going to be cleared extremely fast, but you’re not going to clear the raid in blue and greens lol.

Why all the doom and gloom, bud?
