I was working on the quest to get the Deepstar Aurelid mount and when I used the Aurelid lure a pool did not spawn for me to fish it up. (I have screenshots showing the buff but no pool)

Silly question, but was the rare up?
The pool only spawns if Hirukon is up.
Had the same problem and the Rare spawned within the 15 minute lure window, but no pool.
If the rare has to be up before popping the lure that would have been nice to know.

Mine never spawned too. Rare was up and the pool never showed up during those 15 minutes.

I didn’t see a pool for mine either but after 2 casts he came up and I got the mount
My comment was earlier i was on a diff toon here for some reason. The rare was up and I did everything for it to spawn. Created a ticket and a GM said try it again when i asked for the lure to be replaced. They declined. I don’t think they knew it was a once time use item. I’m so devastated. I mentioned the forum and they said “there were no known issues” and directed me to wow head… where I got the information for the mount from ): not fair at all.
I think that’s the most frustrating part of dealing with blizz customer support. They always want to hear about the issue but never want to fix it for the player. You can get another lure for free, though I’m not sure if you have to wait for the next reset
Same thing here, I want the item restored I spent days on this!!!
A GM won’t be able to restore it for you but there is good news on that. You can get a new lure each week until you get the mount. Just return to Vashj and ask her for one.
Baroness Vashj can provide you with a new lure each week at no cost, until you obtain the mount.
