Really need to make the cap points for the crystal more obvious…
It’s literally a random nipple on the ground with no indication of what it is.
NPC goes on a non-stop rant about everything that is going on but not once does it mention where to take the crystal.
There’s also nothing that tells you that you can cap it on either side of the map.
Players are grabbing the crystal and can’t figure out what to do with it.
Battleground objectives should be straight forward and relatively obvious to the average player.

Is it really that hard to tell or are you trolling?
I see it all the time.
There is nothing that tells you what to do with the crystal. It is confusing people.
I have shown at least 50 people that were wandering around with it where to go since it came out.
What’s straight forward about running the Warsong Gulch flag to where your flag is?
Carrying the crystal without heading directly to the cap pad doesn’t necessarily mean the player doesn’t understand how it works. There are times when you might take the crystal simply to stop the enemy from getting it, rather than immediately running it back to the cap pad.
I’ve even seen a paladin intentionally dropped the crystal to bait enemies into leaving the cart. It was a 3v3 cart fight, their hunter grabbed the crystal and ran, but they ended up losing the cart, which was worth far more points than the crystal.
I’m not suggesting all players would use raid and M+ amounts of preparation effort, but for other content players search for all the info, pathing, strategies, memorizing what NPCs cast spells that are mandatory to inturupt, ect.
It isn’t so farfetched to hope that a new player might watch a YouTube video or ask a friend to find out how a new battleground is played before joining queue…but I have also seen players grab the crystal and say they have no idea what to do with it.
When I was learning, I had to watch a YouTube video to figure it out.
Maybe they should change the crystal instead of a cap make it buff a cart and the carrier.
Like AA, but not like AA.

How about making controling the carts way more rewarding as people just zerg the crystal and ignore carts

They added an orange glow effect to the place you take them. Not really clear, but a bit helpful.
I think a simple quest marker would work well. Not sure if the game code would support 2 locations at once though.
Carts would probably be adequately rewarding if they were not bugged. They seemed to work well enough for me in the last match I did, but I have heard a lot of folks talking about how they don’t always count for points somehow.
Hopefully they hot fixed it sometime between the last time people were noticing it wasn’t working, and when I was in there.
I wonder how many players know where the berzerker buffs are?
