I am doing my weekly gathering quest. I have kept herbing after finishing because I am still to finish mining.
During that extra time herbing I have had 5 deepgrove roots drop for 1 extra kp. They are dropping about 1 in every 4 herbs. My assumption was this was a beta mechanism to enable fast profession levelling.
If this is not meant to be happening… now you know. Ill keep gathering for mining.

I have 15+ in my bags, i’m not going to use it until someone confirms it’s safe.
i used the first 5 of mine thinking it was intended. When I got 5 more the penny dropped… so they in my bags.
The same thing happens to me, I have several, I’m already at +20 in mining and herbology.
Yes, I’m also getting a lot of points for herbalism and mining.
Yeah i ended up using like 20+ of them, I hope i dont get in trouble. I was just farming the regular mining/herb and then they started dropping and i just kept using them as they dropped.
I imagine they will eventually fix it and if you’ve used a lot of them you wont be able to get weekly points for a while - who knows.
I had already gotten all of my Skills Points for the week in Herbalism (at least I thought). After I completed the weekly Herb quest for the +3 skill points I went back to collecting herbs. (This happened today, 9/27/24)
Now I keep getting Deepgrove Roots to drop.
I used 5 before realizing this might be a bug. I have another 4-5 in my bags I am scared to use. Please let me know if this is intended as a skill point catchup, or if these are bugged.
If they are bugged, I would like the 5 points I used to be removed so my account doesn’t get flagged/banned.
I think if you get any now just use them. They know there was a problem and fixed it. I think any now are just luck or a catch-up mechanism. I got three on the gatherer I use less this week… but it stopped at three.
