Is there something special you need to do to summon this guy? I read on Wowhead that someone had success with killing bloated sky rays on days when Soundless spawns to make it spawn. Has anyone else had any luck with that?
As far as I’ve seen he’s just on a stupidly long respawn timer, which is getting old because he’s one of the last two I need to round out my rare achievement. The other one being one of the Scale Matriarchs, who could potentially be a 5 hour wait to see her respawn.
I don’t mind actual rares happening again, but putting them on a meta achievement is just needlessly cruel. Fortunately I’m not finishing it any time soon anyways because of the Mardivas part, so it’s not that much of a stress.

His spawn time is dumb and he dies really fast.
I don’t think killing the days has anything to do with it. I farmed them for 2 hours last weekend with no spawn. Got deep glider the next day just flying over the zone, got lucky.
I randomly killed this mob a couple days ago thinking it was the one that drops that mount. I was dissapoint
