Deep Wounds

I made a post in another thread outlining my annoyance with how truly irrelevant our peak talents seem outside of Avatar, but as I am once again reading through them I come to question. Why do we essentially have two talents to proc the same effect? Granted I didn’t read because I thought Mortal Wounds was something entirely different, but it just gives Mortal Strike and Cleave the ability to proc deep wounds vs just Execute which we have in the talent literally named Deep Wounds. Why is this even a thing? Why are they not the same talent? Why is Mortal wounds a PEAK talent?

Yeah it does just seem redundant and like it should be condensed, or they could add a new separate DoT for execute, might help our damage profile.

Next time they change the talents, they’ll prune the direct damage out of abilities…

Thunder clap: stomp your feet causing a Shockwave that does nothing.

Talent: “Truly Shocking Design”: Thunderclap now does 100 damage.

Talent: “Thundering Toddler”: Thunder clap can now do AOE damage to up to 5 targets.
