Deep Breath. Major pathing issues

This abilitly has some serious pathing issues that need to be fixed.

If the terrain even has the littlest bump or anything thats not flat this ability wont work.

It’s so frustrating.

Yep. A lot of places where it won’t seem to work. I feel like a derp standing and spinning around to find the right angle only to say screw it and just not get a fat cc on a group of mobs

yeah im doing a bg and i was going to stun this group with it and i just kept pressing the location to go to and it wasnt working just because where i was going had a slight bump in the path. well in that time standing there looking like an idiot i got dotted up pretty quick and died lol

whoops wrong thread. But yeah deep breath I feel like I have to actively fight against with multiple spams till it actually works.

I’m just now starting to do 13’s and 14’s, 1850 M+ ranking and dps is low against other classes and 80% of the time, I cannot use deep breath. I am fighting for DPS and to have to deal with not being able to use this ability most of the time is not helping me. I would be SHOCKED if Evoker DPS did not get some buffs. I am struggling big time. I have to move so much I cannot even get 50% of my casts of most the time.

Yes, getting stopped by the fences in AB, or a small rock, both of which visually would’ve flown way over during a DB run.

It is a similar situation with a mage’s Blink where an elevation change in the slightest will stop you.

I feel they should do the ability like the DH. fly high in the air and breath on the ground that distance. most of us use the return option anyway.

Deep Breath should have the option to path to the target. I lose so much time trying to find the path that actually works.

Yeah, I’ve noticed it all over the place. However, as someone that also plays a mage…would you rather lose the CD and have it do nothing, or have to fiddle with with it before getting it to work. Obviously, I want to see it fixed, but I imagine it has pathing issues for similar reasons that Blink still has pathing issues nine expansions later.

I have noticed that even wall based slopes can make you clip under the floor, the wall behind Tazenrath caused me to appear clipped under the floor before actually pressing space to jump, which in turn reverted the out of bounds back to normal while I was fighting him.

My frustration is flying over AOE damage and taking that damage. I think that’s a croc of sh** and the theme of “flight” is not being upheld. Regardless if it would cheese a mechanic or not, you should be able to Deep Breath or Dream Breath and not take damage.

Yeah sometimes I’m hesitant to use it on trash unless I know the pack doesn’t have a frontal, but it feels bad to have your body basically being grinded up as you fly over bad stuff.

It is fun to break into areas with it! The bank in valdraken let’s you clip into the money pile room, you start drowning when you get back there though. I even found a default cube under valdrak.

And suspiciously a random building with a small gold portal that spawns you back into roasted ram.

Same deal with hover where your character won’t move just because of a small pebble on the floor

i mean i feel like everything has already been said but i’ll add another post to the thread. deep breath is deeply clunky and difficult to target. i feel like im often “fishing” for placement, and really in a GCD locked always be casting spec you cant spend time fishing for aoe placement without losing dps left and right.

should be either a fixed distance charge forward like a slow fel rush, or a fancy animation that ultimately returns you to your point of origin and you just aim it like firebreath
