Can the 10-12 of us who still play WoW retail who aren’t selling or buying carry/boosting services please get all that spam moved to its own dedicated channel, with spamming elsewhere being a bannable offense?
Please?

If there are only 10-12 players left then just blacklist the 1 or 2 people buying carries, they’ll quit since they can’t do any content.
If they haven’t made a global general chat channel to free up Trade for trading, I doubt they’ll do this.
I find most realms use LookingForGroup as the global general chat channel.
NO , he say 12 that dont by carry . lotta pepole that by sell carry , there gotta be more then 12 do u no mystic , take 20
I know right? How dare people who are selling something use the trade channel to advertise.
Most players won’t have the spam channel turned on, so they’ll continue to spam in Trade.
That’s the point.
If someone is interested in using trade chat to trade, but doesn’t want the spam associated with carries/boosts that they aren’t interested in, they’ll be able to opt out of it.
How about we just kill the demand for it >? Has a community we have the power to run them out of business if we so desired so …
It definitely seems a lot easier to get a bunch of lazy self-interested internet critters to band together for a noble cause than it would be for a game company to add a chat channel.
They will find a way to exploit another channel.
I think the idea of a dedicated channel is what we need, however it also needs extreme enforcement.
Get caught doing a sale associated with someone putting it in trade chat? Ban all associated.
Get caught doing a sale associated with someone doing it LFG? Ban all associated.
Blizzard cant stop the bots, but I do believe through a more active/sneaky approach it’s possible to ban accounts/characters with the gear to carry. Would it lead to a lot of harsh bans? It certainly would, but since banning the bots/throw away accounts isn’t amounting to much Blizzard needs to target the sellers ability to actually give the service.
This however would be very involved and a long process of constant pushback, so doubtful it will happen. WoW will more than likely “die” before carries are removed unless there is a dramatic shift.
