Last I checked the minimum is $2.13 if you’re a waiter/waitress
…and no health care right?
Has this strategy EVER worked?
Have you told your local Apple store that their prices were “insane”, and they apologized and sold you a new ipad at half-price? How about Nike, or Comcast, or PGE, or ANY large corporation?
Meh, don’t buy boosts if too expensive. Sounds pretty simple to me.
No it wont. It will give you less levels.
Wrong. It still does the same thing. Brings you to the level you need to be to start the current expansion.
Why don’t you just stop being lazy and level yourself, the price is there to discourage this type of laziness.
Shh don’t say that, Blizzard might make the levelling slower!
How is that even relevant and why would you assume Canada?
After levelling 40+ characters no amount of level revamp will ever make the grind through old content less tedious.
Because the OP I’m responding to said:
The OP has identified they’re not American, and I was curious where they’re from. Because these forums are predominantly NA, and because they listed a dollar price, I assume Canada.
It’s not “relevant” to the broader topic, I was just curious and trying to engage in a semblance of human conversation.
Ah I see, didnt mean to come at you at the wrong angle!
Youre paying for the convenience to skip part or all of the leveling process. Its priced low enough to be available to those who want to play with friends but cannot find time to play and high enough so that you dont just spend money and boost all of your characters to skip story.
$80 is not low
The person stated the price was different for them and the difference makes sense that they could potentially be referring to canadian dollars.
As their services price is slightly higher than US.
It wasn’t an attack on the person or where they are from. They were simply just trying to confirm a detail with them ![]()
$80 is nothing, I have bought 2 so far and if leveling in shadowlands is as boring and disjointed as leveling in bfa I would do it again for a new class.
I don’t feel like wasting 15hrs when I play for around 5hrs a week at best (that is 3 weeks of nothing but leveling) if I want to play a new class.
The boost is designed for a person who values the time spent leveling as more valuable than the cost of the boost.
I have also leveled some allied race chars (for the armor) but obviously that took me a few months
Really good post.
This is basically how you should look at boosts and the cost incurred for them.
It’s got nothing to do with the service itself and everything to do with the time vs cost analysis.
If you have a lot of time but not as much money chances are the boost is going to feel much less valuable.
Conversely if you have a reasonable amount of disposable income, but have limited free time (work, family, responsibilities) paying to skip what is potentially weeks / months of levelling can be a much more worthwhile transaction.
I think only the "enjoyable " part is accurate.
It’s also more oriented for new players. The boosts make sense for existing players that have already “enjoyed” the experience.
Why would you even buy one when you can level to 1-50 in just a few hours?
It made more sense when leveling would take at least 3-7 days depending on how long you played each day. Now that I can level a toon to current content on a lazy Sunday afternoon I don’t see why I would fork over the money.
For people that have already seen the content it would be worth saving themselves the time at a reasonable price.
I agree, they should remove the level boost from the cash shop in Shadowlands.
LUL NO! this is activision we’re talking about here i wouldn’t be surprised if they jacked up the price more or added in a paid xp boost.
