It’s very frustrating trying to buy decor from vendors at the moment.
I have one toon that is my main mostly from legion onwards, one that used to be my main that has a lot of reputations pre-legion, and a separate toon that I did most of loremaster on, as well as some niche characters I’ve leveled and played here and there.
When I go to buy decor that has quest/rep requirements I very often can’t. I have to hunt through toons to figure out which one has the rep and/or the currency and/or quest credit AND on the correct faction… and it’s becoming way too tedious.
I currently wanted to buy some of the draenei decor from the trader in stormshield and despite showing as 7/7 completion in shadowmoon valley, I couldn’t find a single toon that actually did the quests in that zone. I assume maybe I just got credit inherently from a faction change at some point for doing frostfire ridge, or whatever the shadowmoon valley equivalent is, but in this case why is it not enough?
If I have loremaster, particularly WOD loremaster I’d wish for this to just be an override for the quest requirement - the game effectively considers this content completed, I feel like this should be enough.
I flew out my main DK to the wildhammer vendor and can’t buy the two items that require rep, but sure enough if I haul my pally out there I can buy them. I HAVE the achievement for wildhammer exalted though (I even originally played alliance during cata albeit on a different toon) so why is the achievement credit for the rep not enough to let me buy it on any toon?
I never rolled a new human character after the starting zone was updated in cataclysm, so sure enough if I wanted the stormwind arched trellis I had to go destroy a bunch of level one wolves in order to meet the quest requirement… there are still many items locked - but I’m exalted with stormwind and loremaster by the way… so why do I need to redo this content to buy a fence post?
I’d really like to see some kind of override to these contrived requirements. It would feel good for the game to recognize something like loremaster, or an achievement on my account as a bypass for these requirements (you couldn’t be exalted with wildhammer and not have the exalted achievement anyway!)
To edit, I just came across the kharanos stone bed which requires you to be a gnome or dwarf to purchase… why?
