Having had the chance to play with the decorations a bit more, the limit on placed items needs to be increased significantly, as well as every item only consuming one slot. Trying to build anything custom is going to be nearly impossible when a single wall costs five slots.
I agree 100%.
It’s stifling my creativity. A single custom staircase could literally take every slot. I can’t even fill the outside and ONE room before I am out of decor slots.
I hate having fun, and then being stopped dead in my tracks, for reasons. There isn’t really a good reason. Let me build!!!
Indeed. There’s a video you can find on YouTube of a WildStar house where a player made a custom-built grand piano out of 758 individual pieces of decor. For all its faults, WildStar housing was legendary, and Blizzard needs to at least be on that level, if not exceed it.
I suggested the budget costs be changed from 1, 3, 5 to 1, 2, 4; that would be more reasonable towards the limit.
Even that would be better than what it is. And I assume it has something to do with server load or something like that. I just hate that everything is so limited. I know that the limits go up as you level your housing, but even at max it will be hard to build anything past a few rooms. And I mean really build… not just drop a few premade objects and call it a day.
It doesn’t help that we get so many rooms that are also pretty freakin’ huge. I half filled one room for a dining/kitchen room and my house is already 1/3 of the way full with 6.5 rooms to go.
Yes. Exactly. I have 9/9 rooms and I am already at 80/300 just building the hallway off the entry.
They give us empty bookshelves like populating two of them wouldn’t max our houses out X(
