Eh, not really. It reminds me of Minecraft hide and seek… and jfc another currency.
But, if the disguised vendor sells items for Voidlight Marl, I can just buy what I want without having to play – I’m not seeing any prerequisites attached to the decor items themselves, at the moment anyway.

Not really. I will probably do enough to get the decor items. Same with some of the other busy-work activities they are adding in.
I am behind on so many things I actually want to do that new activities feel more like another chore I have to find time for instead. It looks like they are not just adding one new activity but three?

Yep I will be doing them. I think it could be fun but then again I am a housing addict
I am a bit excited. Since I got older, I am not into most group activities. Since this has to do with housing and seems to be something different it seem fun to fill in time.

Yes I think it will be fun. Maybe not something I do every day for the rest of the expansion, but still fun.
Unless the arena is randomly generated, it’s going to get old really fast as you remember where everything is because the room doesn’t change.

So I finally got around to trying these tonight. The game itself is close enough to fun adjacent, though apparently I am bad at hiding.
THIS HOWEVER
Seriously?
- I did plenty. I just got caught quickly in the hide phase
- as une femme d’un certain âge who actually needs to remember sometimes that doing less is actually self care, I found this kind of tone deaf.
That said, the “do two rounds” quest is a daily so even if you get insulted by the game, you can still rack up enough coins for the decor pretty quickly.

Oh, thanks for telling me about the daily quest, I didn’t know there was one. I’m in the same boat… I’m trying all I can, but I’m just old and slow and don’t know wtf is going on, so I’ve had several rounds where I get nothing.

yeah even if you win the game for your team by hiding the entire timer you will get no reward due to some activity requirement.

At first i thought these were lame but after you figure out whats going on its actually fun. PLUS I LOVED the decor offered by the chair vendor. I have 6 tiffany lamps so far and nowhere to place them lol

each side takes a turn hiding, and the other term has to run around and find them. Then it switches and the other team hides. I love the challenge lol
It’s kind of fun. The matches are pretty quick and are generous with the currency. I’m not very good at it, though.
Yeah, they’re very quick. It’s worth it to do the daily for the coins from that.
It’s not terrible. I did a couple and they do go quickly. I’m decent at hiding but not great at the seeking so I just run around spamming the one ability. I just haven’t had time to do them beyond the first day I tried. They added too many new things all at once and it’s taking me a while to figure them out.
The ritual sites are tedious but they seem to be the only thing that gives you credit towards the faction to be able to get the decor. The other events that you do to unlock the big event aren’t too bad as there are a lot of people doing them so they go pretty quick. I still haven’t even started the underwater thing.
I did get myself caught up on the ongoing story quests (I think?) so those took some time. I have done most of my weekly stuff on my main though I still need to do the Abundance. I’m tired of doing the same Abundance event that always seems to be the main one every time I’m on in the evening. I also want to do a few more Delves before the end of the week. I try to spend some time each day working on leveling my houses with Endeavor tasks.
I just don’t know how they expect a player to have the time to do all of the things they throw at us. I don’t even engage in PvP. I have no interest in Prey so I haven’t touched that. I have a few main alts that I want to level up for their professions but I’m not making a lot of progress there lately.
