Declined Interest

Personally I’m loving the story. If I was skipping dialogue / cut scenes would be horrible but actually paying attention it’s one of the best WoW stories in years.

Now I have to do intro on a second character so I can get an enchanter to feed Legendary mats to this character but that’s fine (boosted a mage lol)

I almost should never have gotten back on the forums… 0.o

I was liking this expac for the most part, but it’s garbage to the forums.

lol did you expect different ? this happens every expansion, heck change the name of the expansion and the threads are almost word for word first month threads from every single past expansion.

Look up at the sky, that joke flew right over you!

How would you even begin to gauge this if you aren’t max level yet.

You haven’t dealt with any systems beyond basic questling lmao.

Thank you for your helpful story clarification.

It’s also nice to have an expansion in which Jaina and Baine and Thrall and Anduin are bit players we run into now and again instead of being front-and-center pollyannas all the time.

I appreciate that view of the storyline. I would delve deeper into this subject, but I will refrain given it will create further discourse, thus bumping this post.

Pretty spot on. Zone aesthetics are great, design sucks though. Nothing really does feel different from Legion and BFA.

Same. Legion didn’t keep me invested in the first month. I returned later and still had zero interest in it outside of Argus for story purposes.

BFA is straight up garbage and I don’t think I need to expand on why.

Shadowlands feels like WoW again for me and I’m pretty happy with the games direction. Maldraxxus 4lyfe.

OP you might need a break cause you sound burnt.

What would you want? This game has literally always been pvp, dungeons, and raid

WoW 2.0. The expansion after expansion gimmick is a trend in the gaming industry that is not worth the money I put toward it. It’s like having guests pay for a buffet and only serving a fraction of it–the ambience and whole atmosphere is the same, unchanged. The food, it seems, is still being cooked, perpetually.

That trend is to release half developed code laden with bugs and, in WoW’s case, time-gate the rest of the undeveloped content to drag out people’s subs. Games that have had quality development time look far more appealing, Cyberpunk 2077, etc.

Imbibing in this game is no different than being in the same hamster cage with only the wheel being replaced. I want a new cage to explore (new virtual world) and an entirely revamped design.

Games not for you. It happens, what once was giving you shots of dopamine years ago, is gone now. Game has changed and you just don’t like it. I’d try for the refund on Shadowlands but unfortunately faction change and stuff is gone.

Agreed. I’ve never lost interest this fast in an expansion.

And yet…here you are!

Think the refund for Shadowlands is possible? I will try.

Try a few times, depends on GM, how long ago you bought it and what you used from it. Not promising anything though.

I would like to see less dev manipulation of the game, and more focus on housing/garrisons and systems that would attract new people.

Yea I think there was even an ironic quote from one of the questgivers in the covenant saying that things ‘are going by faster than I would like’ I don’t know it was some tree guy in Ardenweald and that sums up how I feel about the entire singleplayer campaign.

Not only does the story go by like a flash but it is littered with just enough of the copy/paste quest design to make it FEEL SO SLOW. I do not want to engage in this lvling system again.

At least in WoD you could leave some areas untouched to go back through on alts. This Xpac’s ‘campaign’ was just heavy handedly forcing you through all the new zones.

you sure about this?

For some reason, I have declined interests in these types of posts.

The whole conform to a douchebag seems to be the gist of most of the community atm
