Decimation feels restrictive

Decimation feels restrictive, the rune doesn’t activate until the target you’re hitting drops to 35% so it does nothing until the boss loses 65% of it’s total health.

Another thing i’ve noticed is that after 35% you completely drop all chaos bolt priority for soul fire.

Mana also seems to be a big issue with Decimation, immolate/conflag taking 25% of my mana bar instantly especially when needing to keep backdraft up.
Soul fire costs 328 mana that you can use on a 1.8s cast on repeat(it procs itself) once the target is below 35%, we’ll be casting life tap even more than we already do with our VERY limited mana pool.

Honestly I would love for it to be changed to the molten core passive(free instant cast of soul fire) as it keeps chaos bolt relevant, and would let us use soul fire throughout an entire encounter.

Not sure how anyone else feels about it, but that’s just my take on the rune.

I like that it’s an execute.

Executes generally change the entire priority to the execute when it’s available when you hit that range. Cost isn’t that big of an issue for locks as we will just use a few life taps.

Also the Felheart 2 piece set bonus makes Life tap provide 50% more mana and 100% less threat:

I usually like the idea of executes, but dropping priority on one of our biggest runes just feels wrong.

The mana cost when your target gets to 35% starts getting extreme between immolate/conflag/soul fire, you’ll be life tapping to a lot more than we currently do.

I feel like that might be the only saving grace is the 2 pc from Tier 1, to the point where i wouldn’t be surprised if we keep using it in later phases solely for the 50% more mana from life tap.

We don’t have to worry about decimation because fel scars don’t exist
