Hey everyone, so I’m making this post because I am trying to find out a new class to play for season two and I was curious what class is a safe pick to get into mythic plus and raiding as a pug if you can’t run with your dedicated group, my plan for season 2 is to push higher keys like close to the 20+ range and progression raiding
You can’t imagine how much this simple statement blows my mind. That this is actually a thing.
And not just some sweaty try-hard chasing the meta. Just that … people simply play a different class each Season.
I remember going through all the classes during the beta for Vanilla, knowing all along I’d pick a Mage. I always play Mages. Mages rule every game. But I would at least try other stuff.
Made a Warrior first, because Warrior/melee type chrs are always the WORST, as Mages are always the BEST. And from the moment I started playing it, I couldn’t stop. It was just so FUN!!!
I ended up playing every class like I promised myself. And just… nothing was as fun as Warrior.
And I’ve been playing it ever since. I do stuff on my other classes when I need to farm stuff, and any time I do that, it reminds me that I still prefer my Warrior over anything else.

I’m a little jealous of people that can just up and change class per season. I’ve been main locked for so long.
But to be honest, play what you like as others have said. I play M+ the second least played spec trailing by only a little behind last. Considered to be unplayable at higher levels. But I manage 21’s just fine. It’s a matter of doing your best.

Survival hunter
You may not top the charts in DPS but you will have a wildly entertaining move set that will give you loads of CC and mobility options.

You can play whatever you want, but playing a meta class will make it easier to find groups if that’s important to you.
Pick a role
If you want to play a meta class, look at a tier list and pick one in S-tier
If not, play what you like
I’d start with what you have available, 70 and decently geared. Jumping in at the start and making progress will probably help you stick to the new class versus having to gear up while others are already making progress in S2.
Out of that, find one you enjoy playing.
Probably Havoc??? They’re getting buffs when they’re already S+ in M+ I believe.

Probably not Warlock since they’re once again being targeted by the devs.
Mages are in extremely high demand.
My Marksman is first, monk is probably second.
I just wish Fury Warriors weren’t boring and that Roll the Bones would die in a fire for Outlaw.
Altogether the “buffs” we just got amount to about 3.5% more damage. Still S-tier in M+ but its not like we’re gonna start rivaling the top of raid meters.
that’s fine a DH is mandatory for raid anyway. i’d rather be meta in M+

I’m rolling off Warlock for season 2 but I do so slightly hesitantly because all 3 specs are shaping up to be good at some form of content.
Personally though I’m just a bit bored of it. The thematic of being dark and evil etc. Doesn’t matter how well the numbers are if I’m not interested enough to play it. When they remove MR from Aff, I’ll come back.
I’m going either Shaman (ele) or Mage (fire). Playing them both trying to settle. Leaning ele right now.
