Hey Guys, I was making this post because I’m having a hard time deciding what ranged class to play, and was wondering what ranged class is usually Good at Pushing into higher keys with Friends or With Pugs, Doesn’t have problems getting accepted in a raid environment whether it be from Heroic to possibly Mythic, and has good utility as well.

Mage almost always has 1 really good spec.

balance druid is great in keys with lots of utility, an aoe interrupt and good aoe damage. Mage is always a popular choice. I like how warlocks look this season too
If you’re going to be the solo DPS queueing in, no such class exists.
At that level, people care more about if you’re good at the spec.

mage, but you have to be comfortable switching between its meta specs as arcane, fire, frost playstyles are quite different to each other
evoker, not many people play it because its undertuned currently but its new and has good utility
Mage, but you may need to learn all 3 specs.
I’ll always prefer Warlock, but… sighs mages are usually the better choice
I’d say mage though I prefer warlocks myself. More importantly is how you play the class though , many groups won’t take you even if you’re a meta spec if you can’t play it well. So I’d suggest play what you are more comfortable with.
It’s prolly gonna be Boomy, Ele, Frost Mage (any Mage really) or Dev.
The other specs are just kinda crappy and not worth the trouble. You get way more bang for your buck from the ones I listed.
Locks basically exist to bring stones and gate way.
On the comfy scale, I’m gonna say Boomy, which is crazy because they are S tier in performance. Shadow is the opposite, it is F tier in comfy, it’s like Burning Crusade gameplay or something (press a button, wait 500 years for the missile to land, then pray you don’t have to multi dot after)
Boomy it doesn’t matter if you have to multi dot because you are farting out uncapped AOE and instant nukes the entire time.
Balance ticks the boxes you asked for but it’s a very up and down spec that happens to be up at this moment in time.
I’d actually recommend Devoker. It’s not as common, generally easy to find groups, tankier than you’d expect, a blast to play, very mobile, lots of utility (including Lust), great at handling affixes, very high output potential.
Cons: might be tricky to get your head around at first (but honestly not hard to learn); limited range (works better when you think of it more like a paladragon and less like a dracaster).

Mage, its also in the Meta. It comes down to what can the class bring. Mage checks all the boxes.
Lust being the biggest. Arcane intelligent buff is solid. Mage food is very handy. Portals when your done and want to get back fo a town. Polymorph for locking enemies down. A range intrupt, and is a range dps.
High keys often favor Fire, but as of now we see Frost and Im starting to see more Arcane.
Destro lock is my favorite. Landing chaos bolts just feels cool.
Aug is undertuned, not Evoker. People realise there is an entirely other DPS spec called Devastation, right? It’s also doing really well atm.
