Screw it, I’ve decided I had enough struggling thru these challenges with underpowered Shadowlands gear.

Just gonna spend a chunk of gold/twink up my alts a bit to power thru the last 3 challenges (hopefully).

I need a short-list for the following:

Demonology Warlock

  • best gems?
  • easy to get socketed rings/trinkets?

MM Hunter

  • best gems?
  • easy to get socketed rings/trinkets?

Holy Paladin

  • best gems?
  • easy to get socketed rings/trinkets?

Also, what is the best necklace in general? I see lots of conflicting information regarding Heart of Azeroth vs Prydaz etc

You know, there are guides online that list these things. But just in general, you want to use the highest stat gem you can put in your sockets. I have 50 ilvl gear, so I can use +7 gems. 49 ilvl gear is stuck with lower stats.

I don’t think there are any. Buy dauntless or relinquished gear, grind unsullied gear, and pray for perfect stats and a socket.

Aside from the Legion gear I mentioned above, which would be a long grind, you in general have the option of carrying a 45 through bc dungeons who will trade you an ilvl 50 piece of bis gear that drops.

I was looking for Mark of the Heavy Hide last night. OMG, I think they wanted 21k for it. My Horde enchanter was able to make it and get it to me though.

We’re talking about dungeons, not PvP.

In any case, what he means is to get specialized old gear that is bis for timewalking, not shut off his xp.

Hmm, it’s going for that high on your realm?

Guess I need to buy up the market on mine and relist.

This is the only Alliance character I have on this realm, so there were some awkwardnesses.

I leveled up to 50 this afternoon and have almost 2000 timewalking badges toward the mount right now.

I saw the mount and was like “wow I want that” until I realized the paragon mouth hippogryph nearly identical and there are better mounts to spend those 5000 TW badges on!

It’s almost the same as the Glory of the Legion Hero mount, too. Or the Long-Forgotten Hippogryph. That’s a lot of purple hippogryphs.

You’re a warlock. I have insta-queue. The supply is unlimited for me.

Yeah, I was excited for a legion tw mount until I saw it’s yet another hippogryph. Still plan on getting it but not this time around at least.

I am actually not jus a warlock, I am a tank spec warlock so I can instaque as well. But I don’t even play this toon any way, it’s just my forum toon anyway!

I want that sweet sweet undead pony mount that I’ll get when WotLK TW comes back around!

No, Epic Legion gems give +7 stats for ilvl 50 and below gear.

SL crafted rings come with a socket and your choice of stats. Buy 'em off the AH, ilvl doesn’t matter, just grab the cheapest ones.

I actually have 3 WoW accounts and this one isn’t even active so I can’t but I do with all my other alts so I have 5k+ waiting on multiple rooms for multiple mounts (I like the WoD fiery elephant and wolve too!) since I prefer to go for quality over quantity when it comes to mount collection.

I never did see the point of having 10 recolors of one ugly mount compared to having the sweetest or rarest unique mounts!

If you don’t care about ilvl, you can do that. I created this gearset intentionally. That gem is not available on my AH, and I have no need of mastery gems anyway.

It’s Mage Tower. ilvl is 50. Every SL crafted ring is above 50.

There are Haste, Vers and Crit versions of the Legion Argus Epic gems.

Just to bump for Frost Mage. I stacked haste and crit for an orb/lance build (you can check my gear). Haste helps keep up frost orb/blizzard uptime.

I just slapped on some BFA gear I had (necklace/cloak) + legion legendaries.
