Decided to try Farseer. Where does it say only one pet can be summoned at a time?

I’ve been playing Stormbringer while leveling and getting to know my class since returning to game a couple months ago.

Swapped over to Farseer and thought my Earth Elemental was getting insta killed by bosses in Delves. Turns out, when I bring up my Storm Elemental it dismisses my Earth Elemental.

I’m sure I’ve just looked right at where it explains this mechanic but I cannot find it anywhere.

Is this a bug or intended? I"ve watched probably 20 tutorial videos on Elemental Shaman and read through probably 10 different guides. NOWHERE does it say ANYTHING about this dynamic.

Likely you have this talent selected:

Always been the case that when we super saiyan our pets with that talent, we can only have one out since they use the pet bar for our control over them. Can’t have two controllable pets.

Fair enough. There’s still nothing in the Talent description that says you can’t have both Elementals up. This is something that should be in the description.

What I don’t comprehend is the fact that Hunters have 2 pets out at the same time, one is controllable, the other follows the controllable pet. Why isn’t this the case for Shaman?

e.g. You have your earth elemental summoned first and it’s controllable. You then summon your Storm elemental and it’s behavior is the same as the Hunter’s 2nd pet OR… it’s the same as when you summon both Elementals in any other build.

I agree. They don’t make it clear you can’t have both and you should still be able to have both if you want even with that talent. But I doubt blizzard cares enough about shaman to make it work like hunter pets for them to put in the work.
