I’ve made a decision to come back. Level 63 so far.
I’m aware Ret got some nerfs and more are probably on the way. But I just need assistance on talent tree setups.
Would like one for PVE and PVP.
Gear is easy to get for PVP, but any advice for PVE gear is welcome.
Check out Icy Veins or Wowhead for builds.
Ret is fine, very strong in PVE at the moment, But for open world leveling and for speed go Prot. You’ll get to 70 much faster.
Greetings,
as i recall for Ret pve Stats are
Str
Vers
crit/haste
mastery
gems Primary/vers or Vers/crit
if you have the gold theres plenty of lvl 61/ilvl 316 gear that can be crafted.
but even the world quests can keep you fully geared.
you mentioned you were returning… so on at least one character do the full story line as it will unlock many features for any alts you level later on. And all rep unlocks are shared to your alts as well.*(tho rep to buy things must be earned per character)
also any dragon flight flying unlocks are account wide as well … you just have to spend the points on each toon, but the skills are there.
hope that helps some. and good luck
Hmmm, not entirely sure I trust those sites, they aren’t always up to date and can get things wrong.
Surprised to hear Prot is better for levelling. My Ret gear from shadowlands was around ilvl 280, but I forget it can switch between now
Prot is faster in the respect that you can grab massive groups and burn them down faster while taking less damage *(and healing more if needed) than in Ret.
the recent update increased Ret’s survivability and put it into a better place in open world as well as group content but Ilvl helps, so unless your getting better than 316 gear from quests already id look for that in the AH, Neck + Ring w/ socket from JC.
also as your average Ilvl goes up the world quests and rare’s drops will scale up with you (for the most part).
For PvE gear, the best and most boring way is to do the new 10.0.7 content on Forbidden Reach and spam rares that drop 385 gear you can upgrade into 395. Will also progress you towards the new ring, Onyx Annulet - basically the rares drop gear tokens and some keys you use to open a vault where you get stones you put into the new ring. In a day you should be able to get ilvl 390ish and can work m+/raid from there.
Cool, I’ll do that then.
I also keep hearing conquest gear is easy so I’ll go for that too.
Now, solo shuffle.
Are the only rewards transmogs? If so, I can do without. We are considered top tier atm, and I have no wish to simply trample on people because of my spec.
Wowhead is almost always up to date, cant speak for icyveins.

Level 67 now. Pretty easy to level in this game.
Can I start the Forbidden Reach stuff yet?
I am not certain if that is separate from the main story line or if you have to unlock thru the Bronze before you can head there.
or if you must be 70 to get the quest to head over there.
not much help in that regard. /sorry
But Gratz on leveling so fast. =)

Transmogs and titles.
Glad mount is still locked to 2s/3s, as is r1 glad.
Solo shuffle does have it’s own 2.4+ title and r1 title, Legend and [seasonal] Legend respectively, but if you’re not interested in transmog, that’s probably not interesting to you either.
every class is cabale of doing good damage and can play the game effectively. need to learn to play Ret is seems
Wow you are REALLY upset. Gonna dig up more posts of mine?
oh so it’s ok to blast my forum but i cant blast yours?
