Decided to finish Arathi Questline before sub ends... really?

for those reading the preview this is a spoiler: Really? You mean to tell me as a literal demi-god of death. I have fought the Undead Hordes, Demons, Titans, Ancient Gods and saved the planet… Yet. Some dork walks up to me super slow AS MY CHARACTER IS WATCHING and bonks me on the head. I lost all interest after that. Who wrote this? Is this the writing of Fake AI? An intern? A hamster?! Comon man. Give your audience a bit more believability.

Their writing has been crap for a long time, this is no surprise.

See? That was the entire point. You’ve grown too full of yourself. Willfully blind to the danger right beside you. Or even sidling up to you. Sashay even. Your pride was your downfall.

Heck, they had you so beaten they let you keep all your gear and weapons in lockup. Bet they took your laces though. Can’t be too careful.

EDIT: To avoid further confusion taking your gear in the context of being locked up means taking away anything like a weapon. So, if you get arrested for littering, they will take your AK-47 away from you before they lock you up. And your body armor and tactical belt. And your Teddy Ruxpin. Especially your Teddy Ruxpin. They take your shoelaces, so you won’t unalive yourself due to the shame of littering. When Mom bails you out you get all this stuff back.

Except Teddy Ruxpin. That’s prohibited under the Geneva Conventions, Article 34.

Imagine the outrage if Blizz ever actually took away your gear. Even if they put it all in a box next to your cell that automatically re-equips it all, you just know the forums would burn down from people too blind or stupid to see the bloody box

Hilarious because it’s true!

They did just that when your alliance character arrived at Kul Tiras and had to break out of Tol Dagor with Flynn.

They did it for the Alliance in BfA.

There was an MMO that did that. I don’t remember which one. May have been wow.

Probably ESO. The Elder Scrolls loves beating you up and tossing you the game with nothing.

Would be more believable if they drugged food/drink. Or a trap door.

Did not know that. Was it actually taking your gear away? Or just, like, a pretend debuff?

Not gonna lie, while playing I went “Really? You lot think you can take me? I beat The Burning Legion, The Lich King, Survived the 4th War, Fought Mecha Satan.
But you, of course a bunch of Realistically Portrayed Humans, yeah you’ll do it. Yeah YOU will be the ones to take me down.”.

It took your gear away but you got it back as it was down the hall. Don’t want to tell you more as I probably spoiled it slightly.

Wait a minute…
You’re telling me there’s a story in this game, AND people actually pay attention to it, AND it’s not very good?
I have been playing wow the wrong way all these years, say it ain’t so…

Can dks even be knocked out

Makes as much sense as locking a mage in a mundane every day non-magical prison cell.

Oh no. Which of the 37 means of escape innately available to me will I use to get out of this situation.

Getting knocked out like that is known as the “cut scene bullet”. Where in game play a character that soaks rounds all day is suddenly in mortal danger for dramatic reasons durring a cut scene. Pretty standard fare in narrative gaming.

Gotta justify Lockpicking and all the other noncombat skills it’ll take to get you out of jail. Such as unleashing a hellish firestorm that instantly kills everyone on the map, that sort of noncombat skill.

But didn’t that happen already? And I think most people made it out of that quest.

Apparently, yes, but I never played BFA Alliance. Tch. Of course Blizzard would ruin my joke. ‘No fun allowed’ indeed

Have no fear. You got jokes man.

This is like what every god says to the player before having their body stripped for gear.
