I think we should have a thread warning people about dangerous quests whose danger is not obvious (i.e. don’t have the group or elite tags, aren’t very high level for the zone, etc).
My warning is about Ghost-o-plasm Round-up
You can easily get five or six quest mobs spawning on you, and if you need to run there are swarms of undead ravagers with a lightning-fast respawn all around. Even as a two-man group, (hunter 39, priest 39), I had to reset twice, blowing two advanced target dummies and a greater mana pot in the process to get all eight quest items. If the hunter had had a FD resist, he would probably have died.
I would also suggest mobs that may be deceptively dangerous.
Example, the Kobold Diggers in Westfalls Jasperlode Mine. They seem easy enough until about 15% health the run FAST, like 48 MPH fast and will pull half the mine.
Eh, this is kind of subjective though and warning people of dangerous content may ultimately just fearmonger people into not doing them.
Classic is notorious for this anyways. That’s why HC Classic exists, not Retail. Some quests claim they are difficult, but really aren’t. Some are deceivingly difficult for one reason or another. Plus then what next? Warn people whenever they enter a cave? Enter an area with patting enemy faction guards (cough SoS cough).
I’ll not read all the replies, but I can feel people saying to you play normal and leave Hardcore because it should be exactly as it is. These people are very predictable with their usual arguments, for the God of sake!
