For me it’s MacBook Air but I don’t play a ton of other games. No fan, stays cool, good battery life, retains value. Sure I have a gaming pc for home but MBA is pretty good for wow

Well if it’s just for WoW I’d say 1TB is very sufficient, for record I’m having to replace mine at 32 GB because it doesn’t have storage space for updates and Microsoft updates.

Um you gonna pawn your used laptop lol ?

that will run anything you want to play. If you just play WoW you could save yourself a couple hundred bucks and still play at great fps.

That will also be good for 5-6 years at least for WoW, other AAA titles will outgrow it in maybe 3 years.

Umm no it usually trades in for like $500 a few years later lol?

Why would you only buy a pc or lap top for a few years, unless it get outdated in 2 years , besides i wouldnt buy an apple its made in China

Where do you think pretty much all parts come from lmao

Nobody said they had to trade it in. But macbooks retain value much better than any other laptop. It runs wow like a charm without sounding like an aircraft carrier or getting hot. It’s perfect for on the go if you don’t play a lot of other PC only games and OP asked about WoW specifically.

Yeah cause everything else is made in America.

I use a MacBook Pro. It’s perfect for WoW.

Not exactly a laptop, but I recommend a RoG Asus Ally. It’s a handheld PC based on Win 11, and I’ve been using it for almost two years now with no issues.

As a handheld it has a controller layout, but you can connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse with no issues, or you can hook it up to a docking station and have, basically, a full PC on the go. I’m able to take it to work and do work stuff but if I have downtime and want to game a bit? I have that power, just hook it up through USB-C to a dock and bam!

The base model can run the game fine, but if you can afford it the “X” version has a much better processor, more RAM and memory, and a better battery life.

The base one is running for about $450, the X version runs at $800.

The last time I bought a laptop for gaming it was an Acer nitro five. It fit all the needs and the price tag.

Steam deck, bought one for my wife and for me. Docks to play on kb mouse and portable with all buttons completely mappable with steam. Mouse pads are amazing. Obr has made it even better.

Don’t buy an overpriced windows handheld, save 300 on your budget. Windows sucks on handhelds, and everything else for that matter these days

Curseforge has a native app for addons as well

Yup, and the Ally X over the regular one, or even better: any good Chinese Portable PC (GPD, Ayaneo etc.). The bang for buck there is unmatched.

Steer away from Apple, they are overpriced e-waste devices.
The last really good thing Apple made was called the iPod Touch.
Macbook Air is only decent if you want to work with Mac OS-specific software for some very niche reason.

Walmart had a decent HP gaming lappy on sale for like 6 bills , but it’s ship to store, you will wait a couple days.

Yeah if you exclusively play WoW I’m leaning more towards recommending apple products. They’ve been killing it with their apple silicon recently.

People here will knock it but for your price range I would consider a rogueally or steamdeck handheld. Steamdeck is a bit clunky since its linux but its likely one of the best choices for your price range.
