what’s going on can’t login say character already exist tried eveything
Tried everything too still nothing. It better be fixed by the time I get back from the Christmas party. I need my wow and wine downtime lmao

daehniks ud rogue on pagle. Ive tried everything from restarting pc, resetting internet, logging into another toon. nothing. The recommended support sucks, its been well over an hour,

log in with another character on that realm, then log out should let you in on your desired toon
does not work.
Tried that, along with every recommended action via the help tool. Waited more than 30 minutes to attempt a login. Didn’t work.
Completely reset my UI, disabled all addons, and reset all game settings to their defaults. Waited another 30 minutes. No change.
Cut/pasted all of the data folders out of my wow folder; logged into wow via launcher as per usual. It had to download an update because I had moved the folders out. I once again made sure all settings were set to default. Tried to login. No change. “A character with that name already exists”
I can login on other chars; just not the one char I actually want to play on lol.

None of the typical fixes like relogging an alt correctly etc, are solving this.
Same issue on Mankrik.
It has been over an hour at least. I have reset my modem, removed add ons, logged in to another character on same server and played for a while.
Still same error.
Getting this error when trying to log back in for the last 45 mins- Hour. Can log into the server on all alts. Have tried restarting computer, shutdown all connections, restarted router. Anyone else getting this error/have a solution?

I am getting the same thing. Posted in another thread that had Blue posts in it. Hopefully they’ll will see that this is a trending issue and offer assistance in some way.
yeah i have the same issue i can’t log in at all been trying for 40 minutes… pretty dumb honestly hopefully they can fix this issue was looking forward to grinding while i was off for the holidays… looks like my present was a lump of coal gameplay

I’m having the same issue as well on “Westfall”. Can’t login to my main because I’m prompted with “A character with that name already exists” but I can log into my alt. They need to get it together.
