Just finished a Battle ground. ALL of us got stuck in there and coudln’t exit and the BG wouldn’t close. I tried and ALT F4 and got out but when trying to log back in now i get nothing but a Black screen with no characters.
Pagle server (Classic) right is now is crashing with it seems nobody is able to cast on other people or see other moving.
And you can’t logout and if you alt-F4 you can’t go back in.

I came back from a bio, found I was dead. Released and it had me at my body but couldn’t rez. Restarted the game, all realms down. Restarted it again and have a blank character selection screen for a while now.
Smells like DDoS to me
At least they finally updated us on Twitter that they are working on it. I hope it’s not another attack.
I just left it on that blank character selection screen and it finally populated. I’m back in.
Thanks for your reports, everyone! I went ahead and merged some other reports here and changed the title! We are aware of some login and character select screen issues that started about an hour ago.
We’re seeing improvements on our end now, anyone still experiencing the login or character select not loading?
I’m still experiencing the same issue. Haven’t been able to login for an hour or so due to “a character with that name already exists.”

The initial login and character select issues should be fixed now. There may still be some leftover caching issues and a few characters that have gotten stuck. Waiting around 30 minutes should kick the characters offline.
I cleared a few things for you, Incite, so hopefully all is well! If you’re still experiencing the “A character with that name already exists” message after 30 minutes, please contact Customer Support.

I tried the link you recommended, but the Move Character tool was unsuccessful. I then tried to open a ticket, but the page won’t load… So I still can’t login, and I can’t even open a ticket about it lol
Same here unable to log in server has been up for almost 3 hours now and character is still not timed out after the server crashed.
i was playing the game enjoying myself on “earthfury” about 2 hours ago and all the npcs disappeared so i logged out and closed the launcher reopened and tried to log back into the game to get my character name already exists error. but yet i can log into my other characters??? dont make any logical sense
