I’m a sheep …
I’m being feared …
I hear the disarm sound …
This “lossofcontrol” nonsense procing the global CD on all of my action bars is annoying. Really? I don’t need 8-30 buttons ticking when the middle of my screen tells the whole story.
I’ve tinkered with some /run hooksecurefunc(getmetatable(ActionButton1Cooldown).__index, ‘SetLossOfControlCooldown’, function(cd) cd:Hide() end) Crap … Who knows?!
It’s even worse when you’re sheeped or something else …
To the developers, you’ve slept on this for 17 years, and I guess you’re just fine with there being a barrier to entry requiring new players to spend ~15 hours tinkering with addons just to make the game playable?!
No More Japanese Casino nonsense Blizz! STOP looking for casinos for UI inspiration … This isn’t candy crush! You wear a button up shirt, but let’s devote a whole expansion to X, Z, and Y axis so no one can ever see each other. Right? Or 1 player torgast?
WHERE IS MY GAME? WHERE IS MY GAME DANGIT!
FIXED: In OmniCC you go to themes > Color & Scale > Scroll down to the very bottom and slide lost control text size to 0%.
My ElvUI/Macros are running on all cylinders K and my gameplay experience is phenomenal, but … Blizz ya really got to get on the new player UI experience. Unbelievable!
2nd Edit: Check it out! There is another mechanic referred to as lock out that relates to … you guessed it … pummel, kick and counterspell. The issue is - AGAIN - that these spells proc the global cooldown tickers, but do not count as loss of control. Moreover, since there is no debuff ALL of your bars in that spell class will tick. Thorns, Mark of the Wild … things that are just mindless noise.
Crap like this needed to be tackled by the developers in 2004! All these mechanics need to be streamlined. RIGHT NOW for Lock out - NOT LOSS OF CONROL - the “workaround” is to make a custom OmniCC profile, per character that only procs ticks on certain action bar buttons. Make no mistake, it needed to be counted as a undispellable LoC debuff, but Blizz hasn’t hired the right people.
Speaking of individual action bar buttons, if you want pet bar cooldowns in OmniCC, you again have to add individual buttons via the /framestack feature as the generic ElvUI_BarPet does not work.
Tab targeting is a severely underrated gameplay genre. It has so, so, so much depth, but when the developers don’t have direction there’s going to be issues.
