Event at first had me excited when announced at Blizzcon to be the WoTLK scourge invasion but they really gutted it by making it warmode only. What point is there in it now? I guess you can fly around in Northrend and try to get to rares before someone else kills them then have to wait for its long timer. It just doesn’t sound all that exciting. I might just have to wait for the expansion and skip the entire 10 days of the event.

Blizzard is offering players the option here to opt out or in if they wish via warmode. And let’s face it, we can beat around the bush saying “Oh but you play a ghoul and your not exactly pvping because ghoul abilities and–” but if your killing/attacking another Player or in the case of pet battle, another person’s pet, it’s PvP. It would be like if you told me that i wasn’t PvEing all this time and instead i was PvPing because somehow all the mobs are secretly controlled by a real player, they just don’t know that they are controlling them.
Back to the point, offering choices like this, doesn’t do any real harm.
What’s with the attitude of “It has to be 100% forced or it’s 100% pointless”? I mean, can’t it just be an option for people to enjoy if they want to? 
To you, no. To somebody else, possibly. Fun is subjective after all. I mean you do realize this is basically like 1/16 of the game, hunt down rares to get rewards? It’s been a thing since Mechagon, since Argus, since Tannan, since Timeless isles, etc. Blizzard is just putting things that works previously in the pre-patch.

Depends how good would the XP farming be would it be on Legion levels of good?

I mean you do you, but i don’t think that’s a good way to judge how good the pre-patch is gonna be. It’s a nice bonus, but personally for me, the quality of the pre-patch and it’s contents itself hold more importance then xp bonuses.
I mean yeah I’d do some quests on my mains for both factions or depending on the gear for mogging but some good exp would force my hand even more to play it.
Im just grabbing whatever transmog/pet/junk is limited to it
Then using the 100 ilvl to gear up toons I intend to play in shadowlands

Because what is the point of turning all the npcs into ghouls if people can just turn their Warmode off then avoid the city of mayhem you just made? A toggle takes away from it. You shouldn’t be able to just go back and forth like that. It’s silly. What fun is capturing a city when people can just belly up.
I think they said the xp wouldn’t be like Legion but you will have the anniversary tabard for 16% more could.
The Deathwing event would ruin some of these people.

Your acting like this choice to opt out or in infringes on your enjoyment. Especially since this is has been a thing for Warmode and PvP servers to some extent.
I mean you kept on going about your fun, but what about the people who don’t find the event fun or don’t want to participate?
It’s their choice if they want to, and we shouldn’t have to take that choice away from them.
Instead of being bothered by people having choices to opt in or out, why not just… you know… have fun with the event? I mean, is having choices to opt out is really genuinely bothersome to you? Be honest with me.

It’s not, this event in the past didn’t pay respect to such silly notions because Blizzard knew that a Zombie apocolypse didn’t care what mode your in. Thats the entire point. Thats the event they sold us on at Blizzcon and to back out because of a handful of softskins is ridicules.

I’m more so interested in seeing the cinematic where Tyrande physically kills Nathanos.

and making it only in warmode is not forcing it 100% in a direction either? what if people hate warmode but want to do the event? how about this for a choice. if people don’t want to do the zombie event, then don’t play until it’s over. forcing people into pvp, especially when they chose a pve server, is bs.

it’s the part where people who want to opt in are forced into warmode that’s the issue imo. why can’t opting out be going into warmode? why do we need a choice in the first place? if people don’t like the event then just don’t play. that’s an option too.
