I’m looking to add the Deathwing Hatchling to my battle pet collection. It is tied to some old achievements in Draenor and is purchased from the guild vendor, is there a guild who has the pet and is accepting new members that would be willing to help out a collector like me?

From it, you should try the Alliance Guild Inversion on Ravencrest
Make a new character, quest a bit to get the rep, sell a pet on that realm to get the gold, or give gold to a friend who will make an alt on that realm, and can give it back to you.

Southside Serpents on Emerald Dream US has this pet and is accepting all applications, apply through the guild finder.

There are pets you can acquire through guilds?

It unlocks on the guild vendor from a guild achievement. There was also;
but it’s been removed from the guild vendor although there’s still a chance to find it on the Black Market Auction House.
