I never got a chance to do the “Deaths of Chromie” quests and was wanting the Timelord title for my Evoker. I head there get into the scenario start to do things but I attacked a “Undead Leader” in the Ruby Dragonshrine and my game froze. No error messages just the usual “this program is not responding” Ok, weird, I close out WoW and start it again. Head back over and boom, freezes again when I attack a Undead in the Shrine. I’d like to get this title, do I need to swap characters? Is it an Evoker only issue?

Same here. I’ve been trying this questline today on my Rogue and I’m having the same issues. I’ve tried it by going to different areas first, attacking different mobs, but it all ends the same with the crashing. Definitely has to be a scenario issue as I am not encountering this crashing anywhere else in the game.
I tried doing it this week as well, and had the same issue. I started off with lua errors for the mod BugCatcher, but disabled the mod and it actually got even worse. Noticed there was a post on r/wow last week about this issue, so it’s been around for at least two restarts now
Same issue here, on my level 68 demon hunter I hit a single enemy or sometimes 2 to 3 hits then it just closes. Hoping for a fix soon
this is still a problem, happened to me today on US-Sargares in the Emerald Dragonshrine while attacking the nightmare mobs

Same issue. The game consistently freezes up when starting to engage the mobs in Mount Hyjal during the Deaths of Chromie scenario. I am unable to play this scenario due to this bug.
I don’t think this is a hardware issue, since I haven’t had this kind of issue for other content such as M+, raid, and large world content raid groups.
The freeze ups still occur when changing the video settings between fullscreen vs windowed modes, and also choosing my Nvidia video card vs onboard graphics.
Video card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080
Having the exact same issue as described. The game starts slideshowing the second you attack mobs. Please fix this Blizzard.
I disabled all my addons except for bartender, and i was able to stop the framerate drop. Not sure what caused it, but hope that helps someone.

I only had to deactivate Details and things are fine.

Thank you, I was trying to figure out which addon was causing it, and Details was it.
I started the scenario normally, and then a few minutes in the fps started dropping. Then it would freeze completely, I’d wait, it might unfreeze long enough to catch up on the actions and then freeze again. I killed the game, restarted it, same deal. Finally I found this thread and turned off Details when I once again restarted the game, and it worked.
Funny thing happened: when I killed and restarted the game that last time, I had already run out of the 15 minute timer and was on “stolen time”. When I got back into the scenario, the timer went away completely. So I just took my time clearing out all the shrines, went sightseeing in Stratholme, checked out the vendors, got a few transmog items lol.
