Making you lose the buff because one person dies is going to cause so much toxicity. When people asked for hard mode dungeons without a timer this isn’t what they had in mind. I personally will not participate in this mode because I dont need that kind of stress. Surely there was a way to add in a challenge mode for a mythic piece each week that wouldn’t involve something like this.
I make mistakes. Random players make mistakes. That’s part of the game. I don’t expect perfection which is what this mode wants and it’s overly punishing
It is a guaranteed way to get the best item level loot in the game. There should be no reward for failure. It is already silly that completing an untimed +10 still gives you mythic ilvl in the vault.
Deathless Dawn of the Infinite already existed. It was not pug friendly until people massively overgeared it.
Same deal here, don’t expect clean, deathless runs, ESPECIALLY in the first few weeks. Don’t even expect clean deathless runs in pugs for the first half of the season.
An achievement and mount like in DF for a deathless run before the season ends. From what I read you can slog through it with as many deaths as needed, just kill all the bosses and it counts as a +10.
You still get mythic vault for completing hardmode Tazavesh, and heroic end of dungeon loot drops if you fail the deathless run.
What you sound like you are implying is that you want a failsafe way to keep throwing yourself at hardmore until you get a guaranteed piece of mythic loot. Like just exit and reset and go again until you do it.
So… what you are saying is that you don’t care for you to be forced to complete an encounter within a set amount of time and you also don’t want to be required to do the mechanics well enough where you don’t die… How exactly are you going to make something difficult if you can’t rely on “Do X mechanics within Y time” OR “Do X mechanics well, or else it doesn’t count” … ?
At that point you are saying that neither doing things adequately well fast enough is good, but also that doing the mechanics well isn’t enough either. What exactly do you want, a participation trophy labeled “Totally-Mega-Difficult-Content”?
Nope. There’s a difference because raids are composed of more people, a timer, and the content is built around doing the mechanics well. Since you were disparaging the timer and doing mechanics well…
Is your form of “difficult content” just equated to “there’s more people doing it”?
I went looking and found an article posted recently on Wowhead. Sounds like a deathless run is tracked via a buff each character has, and if everyone in the group still has that buff when the run is completed, the whole group gets a guaranteed 1/6 myth item at the end.
If you don’t expect perfection, then don’t do the mode that demands perfection, ez.
Like, I know I’m not cut out for Mythic raids, so I don’t join them. I don’t insist that they get removed because people are toxic in them.
Of course, if someone dies you still get a 1/6 myth item in your vault so it’s not like you get nothing. You just get half as much something, which seems fair to me.
