Deathknight sound popping bug

Whatā€¦? This is how many sounds the game can play at once. Has nothing to do with surround sound channels.

What would be most helpful is reporting it here when it happens to you in game since the original Hotfix over the weekend.

I know that is asking a lot, but if you could come here and report all of those details I asked for, when you do hear the problem occur, that would be super helpful in narrowing in on a solution.

oh the hotfix did nothing, getting smacked in the maw, attacking a dummy in SW, it still pops, the only thing thats different is theres a new pop that sounds like its coming from the top right ear, vs the always center left pop, the center left pop is still present though

It has something to do with human and Death Knight voices, male / female, 100%.

The secondary but not 100% confirmed seems to be using Logitech devices, specifically 7.1 sound. However, some people are stating they have this problem on regular speakers and other devices.

It is a shame that Death Knight voices are lopped into the same category as the amazing reverb effects that the game provides.

A small fix I could see would maybe giving us the option to disable Death Knight voices, while still keeping the reverb effects for the rest of the game?

My testing after the hotfix that rolled out last weekend was that the popping was still there, but the intensity was indeed lowered. However, it was still way to frequent to leave the reverb effects on.

The same thing happens to me and I also use surround sound, a solution I found is to change the sound output within the game to any other and then put the first option again but changing the character change the error starts again and I have to repeat the process.

well that actually, this use to be a thing, there was once a simple toggle to turn off dk voices, much like there is one now for reverb or other options


i actually have no way to test this, for i either have the headset or default (which is still the same headset)

Is this fixed? Havenā€™t noticed any popping for a while but donā€™t think Iā€™ve grouped with any human dkā€™s either.
